"Prosecute business owners that hire illegals"

Preach it!

” and the business owners who hire them.”

I really disagree with that.

So, you think it should be legal for American employers to hire illegal aliens, as opposed to hiring our own citizens?

You do understand that there are still 95,000,000 Americans out of work, don't you?

And what about small business owners like me, who've never hired illegals, but have been forced to compete with them in the marketplace? Do you have any idea of the scale of economic destruction those people have caused to our livelihoods and families?

I'll bet you don't, nor does it sound like you care.

You can tell how good a Trump Administration policy is by the distance that liberal heads fly when they explode.

How can it not be the responsibility of companies to make sure they hire legal citizens? What are you a farmer? I worked in the medical field as a nurse and never once did I fill out an application where I did not have to give my SS# or mark whether or not I was a natural born citizen. I also had to under go a criminal background check. Was it up to the government to make sure “said” hospital, hospice, etc. didn’t hire a criminal or a non citizen? That’s ridiculous.

Absolutely businesses have a responsibility to check on who they hire, and they should not be hiring criminals. Someone here illegally is by the definition of the word, breaking the law.

Voter fraud is a felony...

I bet the rate of Illegals voting is in the high 30 low 40 percent range.

Business owners trading in a market where all their competitors are cutting costs with illegal labor must do likewise, or close up.

I own a small construction business, and have been subjected to that exact market economy for the last twelve years or so.

Instead of joining the pack, and going to the dark side like most of our competitors, my wife and I chose to stay straight and legal. We've stuck it out, but have suffered massive losses in income for doing so.

We're not alone, though we are few. I've met lots of other construction pros who've wound up being pushed into the same corner. People like us have been hurt tremendously by the invasion, but we won't aid and abet it by hiring those people, even if it means more money in our pockets. We'd be selling out our country, which we will not do.

I wish the rest of America really understood our story.

It is ABSOLUTELY up to businesses to MAKE SURE ALL paperwork and SS numbers ARE REAL!!! If jobs are CUT OFF people will self deport!!! Employers WILL HAVE TO BE FINED heavily for NOT following the laws!!! Cutting off the jobs IS the ONLY WAY we get this mess straightened out without ending up in a NEVER ENDING court battle!!!! The government e-verify system will have to be brought up to TOP NOTCH!!!

An employer is required by most state and federal laws to verify legal employment status of the individuals they hire. It's very difficult to determine their true legal status when nearly all of them provide every legal document required at the state and federal levels. That is the reality. There is no extra level of scrutiny on whether the documents are legit unless other circumstances come up after the fact, such as a conflict with their provided SS number. Maybe there should be, but typically all minimum requirements are met and it goes no further at an employer level.

That they have access to realistic documents, clear SS numbers, and the kind of turn around time of hours instead of days for document requests is where the responsible parties are doing the most harm outside of the feds and states allowing these illegals over our borders in the first place.

That said, there are businesses that do knowingly hire these people, no doubt about it. Yes, those businesses should be held accountable if the evidence is clear.

“Business owners trading in a market where all their competitors are cutting costs with illegal labor must do likewise, or close up.”

This is where across the board enforcement is necessary. The notion that “everybody is doing it, so to remain in business, I have to do it too” has to be dealt with effectively by the Fed Gov.

Time to rat out your competitors who have been engaging in hiring illegals. They are criminals who are trying to put you out of business by their actions. And it's time for DHS to take punitive actions against these businesses immediately.

These Doca guys are not innocents, if they run afoul of the law they should be treated as any other bum, tossed out.

Just make sure they know they are on a short leash zero tolerance for lawbreakers.

If it can be proved they as a class are very much a problem the American opinion can be turned around from some sort of empathy to worry.

I would say this would negate PR problems. For me they should go.

Time to rat out your competitors who have been engaging in hiring illegals.

Believe me, I'd like to, but my criminal competitors know they're breaking the law, so they pay their illegal workers under the table in cash. It's very hard to prove they have illegals in their employ, without a paper trail.

If I could just call 800-ICE-ILGL, give them the business name, and let them do the investigation, I'd do so in a heartbeat. I don't know that ICE has that kind of manpower or mandate, at present.

“Bi winning” - Charlie Sheen

1. When multiple wins occur simultaneously
2. When a win accomplishes 2 goals like doing good for America while erasing obama (well those 2 things generally go hand in hand anyway)
