Yes, I know it’s not the real Russian flag. That’s why I typed “Russian” in quotes.

It would be easier than you think to consider a red, white and blue flag patriotically generic, and the flags of Luxembourg, Netherlands, Yugoslavia and France are quite similar to the Russian Federation.

Perhaps everyone does not know what the Russian flag looks like, but most people know what the Russian flag look like. Certainly, every legitimate person that attends CAPC would know what the Russian flag looks like.

Those flags are not all that similar.
But even if they were similar, why would someone wave the Netherlands flag at a Trump speech?
The people are waving them because they are red white and blue. Many of us remember the red flag with the hammer and sickle, Soviet flag.

Well, if it were brandished by a Trump supporter, could be a subtle signal that the new Trump Doctrine will be "Dutch Treat" across the board, NATO, UN, Blue state begging, and so on.
The USA pays it's own way and others pay for for their own.

When I was in forth grade (and for that matter until I was 35) the Russian flag was Red. Or at least the flag we called Russian was red. We certainly did not ever see this red white and blue flag.
Because they don't know it's a Netherlands flag and it has "Trump" on it in big block letters.
Remember the scum handing out these "flags" got past CPAC security and professional event managers before they handed these thing to everyday, ordinary, enthused, distracted Trump supporters who aren't watching for double agents.

I smell the efforts of an out-of-work Community Organizer who was a previous occupant of high-end public housing in Washington DC - somewhere on Pennsylvania Avenue.
