"Perhaps everyone does not know what the Russian flag looks like, but most people know what the Russian flag look like. Certainly, every legitimate person that attends CAPC would know what the Russian flag looks like."

Right, wrong, and wrong. When most people think of the Russian flag, they probably think of something with a hammer and sickle on it.

There never has been a Russian flag with a hammer and sickle, but there was a Soviet flag with a hammer & sickle.

It was a prank

Yes, reading more about the incident, it was obviously a prank, but that does not explain why participants could not identify a Russian flag.

I was just trying to explain what most people probably think of, not necessarily what is accurate. How often do people see flags of different countries? During the Olympics? Even if you are taught some of them in the fifth grade, you probably only remember the most striking ones 20 or 30 years later. Few kids collect stamps anymore, and that was one of the ways of learning flags.

If Watters walked down a major street in any American city, and showed people a picture of a Russian flag, how many could identify it? Just the other day, more than half the people couldn't identify pictures of Jimmy Carter or Harry Truman.

I would have collected all I could and sold them on eBay.
