The mayor of New York City just may be the second most powerful elected position in U.S. politics, only behind the presidency. Located inside City Hall in the heart of Manhattan's bustling and brightly lit Broadway, the Big Apple's mayoral office is arguably the most influential in the world.
And it looks like Hillary Clinton has her eyes all over it.
The former Democratic candidate who won the popular vote in the 2016 presidential election but lost in a shocking electoral upset to President Donald Trump has reportedly been flirting with the idea of a run for New York City mayor in the upcoming election set for Nov. 7. The former New York senator and two-time presidential candidate returned to her hometown of Chappaqua, New York after the national election, but has been seen attending several Broadway musicals just steps from her potential-next office and traveling throughout the city's Burroughs many nights over recent weeks.
During each of her surprise appearances, theaters have erupted in standing ovations.
If Clinton intended on launching yet another campaign for elected office, shed need to announce rather soon, as well as make some fundamental changes to her and former President Bill Clintons current living situation. In order to run for New York City mayor, one must be a city resident by Election Day, meaning the Clintons would need to establish permanent residency in one of the five boroughs by Nov. 7.
If she did decide to run, the odds appeared to be ever in Clinton's favor. Though incumbent Democratic Mayor Bill De Blasio who endorsed Clinton for president in 2016 has yet to announce whether hed seek reelection, polls showed Clinton would defeat him regardless, and was leading against all other hypothetical candidates.

Mr. Chris, if you remember, the polls also showed your girl beating Donald Trump by at least double digits. Who is home plotting against the people and who is in the White House now? Hint: Clue: It is not Hillary Roddam Clinton.

Oh, great! So now the Corrupt Clintons will buy yet another residence that our taxpayer money will pay for under the guise of security upgrades.
Am I correct that there are no term limits on the NYC mayor’s office?
NYC. What a great place to try and keep the flow of illegals coming into this country.
Hillary’s handlers have had their eye on owning NYC for quite some time, which is why they had Weiner set up to run. I’m sure there is nothing left in those files that they have not seen. They still have traitors in the FBI that can get them any info they want.
If it was just about the glamor, it would not be a problem for the country. Hillary’s owners want control of NYC for subversive political and economic power.
Well!
Yes. Hillary is “qualified” to win the mayor’s office.
But, is she capable of actually “doing” the job?
SHE has NEVER DONE ANYTHING.
Never run an office.
Never run a police station.
Never run a precinct, an administration, a department, nor an agency.
Never been responsible for DOING ANYTHING. EVER.
Campaigns? She was handed one - The NY Senate seat against an empty seat.
She lost the 2008 campaign against a junior senator who had no record.
She lost the 2016 campaign against a man who had run business empires, but had never run a political campaign.
Hilary’s only qualification for Mayor of New York City?
She is more corrupt than Tammany Hall.
But Tammany Hall was more competent.
Does public approval really matter for Rats where they have a well-oiled voter fraud machine in place. I wonder how many illegal votes put Wilhelm in power.
1. 53 fire battalions (Including the Rescue/Special Operations Battalion, the Safety Battalion, the Marine Battalion, and the Haz-Mat. Battalion). This equates to approximately 14,000 uniformed firefighters and EMT's.
2. 10 police bureaus (the police department equivalent of battalions) consisting of 35,000 uniformed and plan clothes officers and another 10,000 civilian employees.
3. 12 sanitation bureaus consisting of 7,200 uniformed employees and 2,000 civilian employees.
4. Although not divided into battalions, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection has 6,000 uniformed and civilian employees.
She is good for NYC”.....I left the state in 1980
It has been down hill for fifty years
She could save us a lot of money by just moving into Trump Towers.
Running for office is the only way to avoid prosecution. Expect her to be running for office until she goes room temperature.
Anyway, I would not be so sure that mayor of NYC would be anymore of a "slam dunk" for Crooked Hillary than the presidency was (which she has now lost twice despite being declared both times as "inevitable").
Also, being a mayor of the biggest city in America is much more of a hands-on job. As you state, she just doesn't have the capability or experience to do the job effectively even if she did decide to run for it and wins it. She would be a disaster but NYC always finds a way to survive.
Eww. Why would you wish that on the Trumps?
Same polls that showed her winning Presidency
I hope she wins, then her inability to do anything right will be in full view. The woman is hopelessly incompetent. If she is the mayor, she won’t be able to hide it any longer, and New Yorkers will have only themselves to blame.
She will never run for something she can be held accountable for.
That ship sailed the day Rudy left Gracie Mansion.
