I had a doctor friend tell me that you cannot look at a person and tell who has heart disease potential and who doesn’t. It is totally random.

He’s doing a lot better and his exercise for the time being is limited to walking. Bob — a fitness nut — says the heart attack is all genetics.

...

It usually is genetics. But his a survival is a testament to his fitness. The odds aren’t good for people who are revived by CPR.

He is lucky. Usually the heart explode on the young, athletic type.

Remember Jim Fixx? I’m beginning to think my couch potato exercise routine (pass the chips) may be the better way to go.

".....says the heart attack is all genetics."

There is a body of scholarship (ignored) that says otherwise. He is nutritionally deficient because he sweats out what his body requires. Please see Dr. Joel Wallach's "Dead Athletes Don't Lie."

It also explains the sports injuries (torn ACLs and such) that are now rampant in professional sports. Our soil is now depleted of nutrition compared to 1960.

Stuff happens. Jim Fixx, a runner’s guru, died of a heart attack. I was a runner in recreational races, mile to the marathon for a number of years, and had the attack in 2011. Doc said that the additional coronary circulation from years of distance training may have helped me survive.

They put a stent in me and I’m playing rec b’ball 2-3 times a week. An arthritic knee has put the damper on distance running, though; the repetitive motion hurts.

I’ve seen a couple of his self absorbed episodes and am surprised that none of his obese “clients” haven’t dropped dead..........The guy is a gym trainer hack.

May I suggest anyone interested in improving their cardiovascular system to check out a guy named Wim Hof. I find this guy to be very interesting.

Interested in reversing type 2 diabetes? Check out Dr. Jason Fung. (Both of these guys are on Youtube.)

Another thing....both of these guys techniques are easy and “cheap” to follow :-)

My wife was friends with a vegan man and wife. The man was a marathon runner. He ran in the Boston and New York marathons. He died a month ago at 43. No warning at all.
