AP the term is illegal aliens, not immigrants. They are invaders. Deport them all. Stop the invasion of our country.

We shouldn’t be tying up our courts with foreign nationals who are in our country illegally. If they want a day in court, send them home and they can complain and bring it up to their own courts. There is nothing in the Constitution and we have no laws stating that they have a “right” to be here illegally.

ALL illegal aliens ARE subject to removal.

ALL illegal aliens MUST be committing additional crimes in order to stay here ILLEGALLY.
At the very least they are working illegally or collecting benefits illegally, probably with fraudulent documents.
We should not have to wait until an illegal alien harms or kills someone before they are removed.

The Chicago INS/ICE is extremely corrupt with bribes, extortion, exchange of sex, political favors and money in exchange for immigration decisions.

The process takes so long because installment payments on the bribe require time. Failure to make a payment results in deportation.

How typical is Chicago of the nation?

The girl arrested in Louisiana on her way home from a protest is getting an expedited departure. She arrived legally from a visa-waiver country, Argentina, as a tourist. That means no right to a hearing, get out.

Illegal aliens. And I was just reading an article on NYT (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/04/us/migrants-facing-old-deportation-orders.html?_r=0) that relates how INDIA, as one glaring example, refused to accept back their deported citizens. That should end! Immediately end H1B and L1 visas from India. Terminate all now. Return all Indians to India. Give them 90 days to pack and leave. Better yet, give the 30 days.

India is a claimed ally, people, even here on FR, defend them. Well, reconcile that with the fact that India will not accept back Indian citizens that we deport. Where do you loyalties lie? US or India.

Under current policies, immigrants who are detained within 100 miles of the border and who have been in the country less than 14 days can be deported immediately, without being processed through the immigration courts. If an individual caught along the border makes a claim for asylum, he or she will have their claim reviewed by an asylum officer with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. If the claim is approved, the individual goes through the immigration court process. If not approved, that person joins the other immigrants caught along the border who are usually immediately returned to. . .

Policies can be changed by executive order, and this one should be. Anyone caught in the United States illegally who has been in the country less than 50 years should be deported immediately, without being processed through the immigration courts. If an individual makes a claim for asylum, voluntarily rather than after being caught, he or she will have their claim reviewed by an asylum officer with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. If the claim is approved, the individual goes through a more thorough questioning under a lie detector. If and only if that passes with no indication of any deceptive answers would the immigration court process then be initiated.

If they come across illegally, how can the US know they’ve been here less than 14 days?

“Under current policies, immigrants who are detained within 100 miles of the border and who have been in the country less than 14 days can be deported immediately”

Make that 1,000 miles and 3,650 days and I’ll be pleased.

How about explaining how their immigration here is illegal and that they are placing burdens upon not only tax paying citizens, but non tax paying citizens as well.

Immigrants are deported. Illegal aliens are simply removed. Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic `rats no longer have their boy Barry ordering the Library of Congress to change references to aliens--as set forth in federal statutes--to "immigrants". That fell flat. No more "down the ol' memory hole" for the party of treason. Our uninvited foreign guests skipped doing all the things our immigration laws require ..... They are here illegally. They are aliens. For thinking people, that makes them ....

If the AP can't make a distinction between immigrant and freakin' Illegal criminal alien, I have zero interest in anything they have to say about it.

Moving right along...

an immigration system where simply deporting someone is never a simple or time-efficient task.

How does Mexico do it?
