This is good. But an investigation by the DOJ would be better. Hopefully, that is coming.
They can do both right? Can sessions lead?
I agree. Or appoint a special investigator that has enough ‘cred’.
It is. Obama’s activities involve many people, who are likely already under active surveillance & investigation now. As DoJ gets involved more publicly in coming weeks, they will be willing to sing to save their tails. I bet Mr. Obama’s little war room is pretty active this morning. Lots of loose ends to tie up and false narrative game planning to do.
I believe the acting Deputy AG was intentionally avoided in the succession plan Lynch put in place right before she left. That in and of itself give me some confidence in the guy, because they avoided him. Don’t know how true, but this guy is known for being apolitical and calls it how he sees it no matter what. They have to be soiling their pants this morning.
This will be debated at FR. Probably in our normal Hot and Heavy mode.
My View: DOJ will proceed quietly. Congress will be the one we watch, listen to, replay and post on YouTube. It will be great fun.
In the end it will be the DOJ investigation that counts. But the PR value of a Congressional Investigation will pay big dividends at the Ballot Box. And, hopefully, it will help squelch the Grand Obama Plan to Impeach Trump.
“But an investigation by the DOJ would be better.”
Agree.
Congress can’t be trusted with something like this.
I would not be shocked if a parallel investigation is also being conducted completely outside of the government -- by a prominent security firm specializing in corporate espionage, cyber-security, and other serious matters that corporate clients deal with all the time.
What do you think Giuliani & Associates was going to be doing after it was announced that Rudy Giuliani was not going to get a cabinet position in the Trump administration?
:-)
Doing the first is good. Doing the 2nd is better. Doing both is the best.
