The whole NeverTrump crowd has given no quarter to Trump, hoping to replace him with Paul Ryan. Ryan is loving it.
Ryan is an easy read. He seems to me to knows that he has some powerful forces behind him and he that he has a role to play in all of this.
The reason the GOPe was upset was because Trump went outside the regular channels for campaign help (which meant the GOPe couldn’t plant a spy in Trump’s campaign - and when Trump hired Manafort, the LEFT/GOPe knew he had been connected to Russian entities. That’s how the whole rumor mill got started about Russia (and Trump’s collusion with Russia) WHICH WAS A FALSE NARRATIVE FROM THE DEMS, as usual.
