I wish I could be optimistic but am not.
I’m not sure that attitude is helpful or warranted.
As it stands, the GOP controls all branches of government. Clinton/Obama have VERY VERY effectively used the Executive Office in their favor over the years for getting away with literally everything.
That just isn’t going to be the case here.
Unsolicited mind you, Trump told the American people he was going to “Drain the Swamp”. Not only was that unsolicited, but it’s a very dangerous threat, that has since been countered by literally psychotic behavior by his political opponents and supporters.
Don’t ever threaten to kill someone unless you mean and have the means to do it. Trump is now out for a body count.
We have a long way to go but I think this is a positive sign.
Trump does not have to publicly ask for or announce a DoJ investigation of this issue. He can do that at anytime and without any fanfare.
But until now, the Russian issue only put the Trump team in the spotlight. Now Congress can put all sorts of Obama people under oath and issue all sorts of subpoenas to all the right people.
The left now has skin in the Russian game.

Remember the 9/11 commission? That was a dog and pony show to nowhere. I don’t trust this government for anything. President Trump is a godsend but our Federal government is despicable.
