While Canada has some of the most libertine abortion laws in the world, with no national restrictions whatsoever on the termination of pregnancies and only limited local statues, the government of Justin Trudeau is looking to advance the cause of abortion even further, funding an effort to battle protections for unborn children abroad.

Prime Minister Trudeau announced on Wednesday that his government would spend $650 million to promote birth control access and abortion abroad. Among other things, the plan entails funding for foreign NGOs battling laws restricting abortion in their home countries. …

Nothing says “friend” like promoting abortion.

I don’t know how well enforced the laws are, so I won’t name specific countries but over in Europe, even some of the “progressive” countries have no abortions after 12 weeks, waiting periods and even mandate that those considering abortion have got to go to a psychological counselor before making a decision. USA and I guess Canada, have some very lenient laws apparently. Sad.

Trump DEFUNDED Planned Parenthood International; UK and Australia followed suit of not providing any funds for international abortion as well. Canada, with a small population (68 million? or whatever) are unfortunately, appearing to take up the slack. Evil.

>promote birth control access

That’s no fun. When sudan, ethiopia and all the other overpopulated areas keep pinching off infants and they die from starvation and other overpopulation blights, the UN will just ask for more money...

...And the “religious charities” will ask for more money to help them breed more to die a miserable death.

Who needs birth control when you have suckers to feed and treat the overpopulated?

What an idiot. That’s not the most important thing on the world agenda, Justin.

Andpart from being wrong, this idea is invasive, intrusive and patronizing.

Canada has no business lecturing to other countries. They think they are morally superior.

As President Trump would say, “wrong”!

LOL!!

The next election will surely wipe these ugly socialists out of Canadian politics for decades.

How about letting the local peoples figure out when, if ever, “overpopulation” is?

First world snobbery can get pretty damned overweening.

“only limited local statues”

A real shame. Art can enrich our lives.

“The next election will surely wipe these ugly socialists out of Canadian politics for decades.”

It would be nice but I doubt it. We have conservatives up here but we are in the minority. Most of the population lives in large urban areas and it votes accordingly.

Any accountability for Baby Doc Trudeau and co. over their zeal for abortion is more likely to be of the act of God type.

I hope so.

Definitely miss Stephen Harper! He and President Trump would have worked well together.
