Rand Paul: McCain ‘past his prime,’ maybe ‘unhinged’
Legal Insurrection ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 03/16/2017 6:25:09 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Payback is a . . . Rand Paul. After John McCain, speaking on the Senate floor yesterday, accused Paul of “working for Vladimir Putin,” Paul had a crushing comeback on today’s Morning Joe.

Said Paul, “he makes a really, really strong case for term limits. I think maybe he’s past his prime. I think maybe he’s gotten a little bit unhinged.”

Note there seems some distance between Linda G and mcinsane?

Yes it does, seemingly Linda used to be McCain fifth appendage attached at the anus...

I guess he senses McCain is speeding down the train tracks peddle to the metal about to derail...

Self preservation, nothing else.

Not holding my breath waiting to see Lindsey Graham separate from him, though.

McQueeg has been a Democrat-lite Quisling since before I started posting on FR.

FAR past due time for him to just go the hell away.

“The people of Arizona need to correct this mistake. They put him there.”

There’s an awful lot of geriatric retirees in AZ. Half of them more gone than McCain. He also can always depend on his “immigrant” constituency.

It is sickening to see all this public fighting between Republicans.

Yes, but the unthinking conformity among Democrats is even more disturbing. No matter what personal misgivings individual Democrats may have about certain policies, they all shut up and support the party leadership without a single dissenting voice. They know they will be figuratively (and maybe literally) killed if they do anything that might derail the Train to Utopia.

We should not forget that Rand Paul is a physician...and undoubtedly is more trained than most people in observing and assessing the mental health of his Senate co-worker, McCain.

Possibly—But it lacks the punch that “senile” conveys.

The state and its voters can't do much to get rid of McCain if he doesn't want to leave. Only the Senate can expel him, and since 1789, the Senate has expelled only fifteen of its entire membership.

It's in Article I, Section 5, of the United States Constitution. No other way out. Sorry, but those are the facts.

You can read about it here.

Agreed: Rand is not known for being particularly diplomatic, but in this case apparently decided to be! ;-)

McCain’s “prime” was when he graduated from the Naval Academy at 2nd from the bottom of graduates. It’s been downhill from that.

This needs to be a constant theme in response to ALL of McCain’s comments to the enemedia. He should be ridiculed and denounced as deranged at EVERY opportunity.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing the people of Arizona can do until the next time McCain’s term is up. The Constitution does not provide for recalls of House and Senate members. Only the Congressional house in which a member serves can expelled a member. So if a majority of senators determine that one of their members either should or can no longer serve, they can vote to expel that member.
