Conservative Commentator Tomi Lahren on Defense After Making Pro-Choice Comments
ABC Arizona 15 ^ | 12:04 PM, Mar 19, 201 | Justin Boggs

omi Lahren, a host on the conservative network The Blaze, has faced some backlash in recent days after saying she supports a women's choice to have an abortion during Friday's episode of the ABC show "The View."

Lahren's stance on abortion differs from President Donald Trump, who Lahren supported in the recent election. During the 2016 campaign, Trump vowed to appoint a pro-life Supreme Court justice.

"I am a constitutional (conservative)," Lahren said. "I am someone that loves the constitution and someone for limited government, so I can't stand here and be a hypocrite and say I am for limited government but tell women what to do with their bodies."

Immediately after her appearance on "The View," Lahren faced immediate backlash from pro-life conservatives.

One Twitter user wrote to Lahren, "You lost all credibility with the pro choice comment." Another wrote, "She claims to be conservative. She isn't. Credibility gone."

But Lahren took the comments in stride.

"I speak my truth. If you don't like it, tough. I will always be honest and stand in my truth," Lahren wrote on Saturday.

"I have moderate, conservative, and libertarian views. I'm human. I will never apologize, to anyone, for being an independent thinker," she added.

Lahren, 24, has more than 4 million Facebook likes, and her videos on the social media platform are frequently viewed by more than 1 million users.

Abortion is MURDER!

MURDER is illegal in all 50 states!

ERGO, abortion should be illegal is all 50 states!

And, if it takes an amendment to the US Constitution to make it so, we need to do it ASAP!

What is it about 60 MILLION abortions do you not understand?

He has a point though. The narrative has changed. Roe v Wade was decided in Jan of 1973. Most online and offline info have the narrative being a pregnant, single, woman brought a class action suit challenging the Constitutionality of a Texas criminal law. Most people don’t bother to research the details.

1973. Over 40 years ago. Why wasn’t it stopped prior to it becoming federal law? Over 40 years ago!Ya know, back in the good ole days. The liberal agenda succeeded no matter how much we want to say it didn’t. And the Liberal narrative has permeated every aspect of our society. Media, education, entertainment, our government and everything funded by our government has promoted abortion/womens’ right to choose/”reproductive rights.” Same with the homosexual agenda and illegal immigrant agenda and Black Lives Matter Agenda/slavery reparations, and so on. And the other various agendas...victim mentality, income distribution, etc.

The point is that the Government shouldn’t be involved in any of this, including things like “gun control.” It shouldn’t be involved in big brothers/sisters/foster care/medical care, etc. But it is. It’s been involved and Johnson’s Great Society and FDR’s New Deal all helped our society become what it is now.The list goes on.

The point again is that the narrative has changed and our societal make up has changed due to all these government funded programs that play to the victim mentality that gets politicians votes.

So while you’re online preaching to the choir here, what else are you doing to change the publicly funded k-12 curriculum that promotes the liberal agenda at all costs? What are you doing to change the Media - news, entertainment, etc.?

I’m trying to promote something different in k-12 publicly funded education but decades of the liberal agenda is hard to squash and it doesn’t help when conservatives either leave the institution or help continue the agenda or blame the conservatives who are still in it. Especially since most of them not only want more government involvement but actively promote it with their support of anti bullying laws and more policy.

Even the most “conservative” parents want the school system to protect and raise their children. Even the most “conservative” people want the government to fix the insurance industry, banking industry, medical industry, education industry, etc.

I get what people are saying because of frustration. I raised 4 kids like my parents raised me: Charity is charity and you give what you can when you can but you take care of your own no matter what and you don’t rely on the government funded by taxpayers to pay your way. Ever. My husband and I attended college on academic scholarships and loans (paid back) and my parents contribution. His didn’t contribute anything to their children but they were holy rollers and all that. And when their unmarried daughter got pregnant they wanted her to have an abortion. She didn’t. She had to live in an unwed mothers home and give her baby up for adoption because her oh so conservative, financially secure, holy roller parents wouldn’t help at all but allowed the taxpayers to help, lol.And they gave away one of their own.

If we want to change the narrative of abortion/choice/reproductive rights(and every other entitlement), we have to change how we are raising our children and expectations we place on our government (because many people want and expect our government to fix things).

What have all the pro life organizations done to curtail abortion and the narrative of abortion=choice/reproductive rights/women’s issues? Raising four daughters who are pro life and would never have an abortion but don’t really consider it an issue (unlike many young and old women who consider it the only issue)since they’d never murder their child, it’s not an issue for them for the most part. I had a friend back in the 80s who had an abortion and it was life altering for me because it was incomprehensible in my mind at the time, but my youngest daughter had a friend two years ago who used the abortion pill (plan B, morning after pill). It upset my daughter that someone could do that but at the same time it wasn’t as “big” as having an actual abortion procedure. And even then, it wouldn’t be “that” big of a deal since it’s so common/law of the land now and even not that great of an issue for churches/religion anymore.

Crisis Pregnancy Centers...online, Planned Parenthood site is the top hit and their literature on CPC’s is very anti-CPC. That’s the narrative we have to fight against. We aren’t winning so far.

It’s not a Federal issue. If you think it is, please put your finger on the part of the Constitution that says so, and send it to me.

Sooooo what you’re saying is the government should have no role in banning or outlawing murder? Gotcha.

Actually, yes, I am, if you specify the federal government. Murder is and ought to be a violation of state law.

“..so I can’t stand here and be a hypocrite and say I am for limited government but tell women what to do with their bodies.”

That’s a cop out. Being pro-life doesn’t mean telling women what to do with their bodies.

“Seems to have gotten under you akin.”

Abortion defenders tend to do that.

I MUST be made into a Federal issue! Otherwise, how will we stop the carnage?

Murder is murder!

Abortion is murder!

Anyone who wants to defeat the left should be seen as an ally, not an enemy (this naturally excludes Cucks). Every. Single. Time. The right makes headroads this crap happens.

Defeat the left, then start the in-fighting for “purity”.
