THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK
GEORGE GERSHWIN
SPICE OF 1922
ARTHUR FIELDS: THE YANKEE DOODLE BLUESA pattern was beginning to emerge. When one of Georges songs from a revue caught on, a number of artists recorded it immediately. Word was getting around. This entry from 1922 had people standing in line to put it on shellac. Buddy DeSylva handled the lyrics.

Feeling good, thanks, Kathy. I picked up a few items to plant. The Daffodils have recovered, for the most part, from the ice storm and things look good.
