McConnell supposedly had a whole new bill that he was going to use as an amendment.

Then he should have come out with that bill first, instead of putting the House through this stupid, pointless exercise.

I’d have more respect if it had been passed to get to senate then they could’ve voted no on final product after reconciliation if it wasn’t better. Obamacare is hurting people. If it’s not replaced it will be funded.
I hope we get another shot at it and a bill that can get support will be crafted. Republicans look bad with this. All sides.

He’s right.

Got a plan to elect 200 more Freedom Caucus member?

They have enough power (right now) to stop stuff but not to pass stuff. Midterms are 18 months away.

Would you care to enlighten us as to what his “long ball” game plan is?

If that's the case then the ultimate end result will be as follows:

1. It will be called ObamaTrumpCare.

2. It will only have two provisions.

3. One provision will reduce the Medicare eligibility age to 50.

4. The other provision will require insurers to cover the adult children of their policy holders up to age 49.

Great -- we're all finished with that. What's up next on the agenda for 2017?

After this tweet, I have a feeling that his next rally may not be so well attended.

I’m not sure why ‘our side’ is so eager to take the responsibility for the morass of legislation that is ocare. And for the President to demand lemming-like lock step from independent minded conservatives who have principled objections is silly.

Send a clean bill to defund Planned Parenthood.

Tell Justice Dept to prosecute Planned Parenthood and their leadership for their multiple felonies and racketeering.

Think along with Trump here. He is a business guy who understands that Nobody gets all of what they want in a deal. It’s give and take. That is, if you read his book, the art of the deal. I imagine at this point he is looking at the healthcare situation and seeing the Freedom caucus as the most intractable. Hence, this is where he is direct his pressure.

From his angle it was about a deal. From a conservatives angle it isn’t about a deal but about free markets and an opportunity to finally get government out of the healthcare business. But that is amd always going to be the downside to Trump. He wants to make the most conservative deal he can. Make no mistake, it is deal first. Therein lies the businessman v. traditional politician dichotomy.

Trump better get rid of Beta Butt Boy Ryan.

Have you ever read the Constitution once?

Trump doesn’t have the power “to get rid of” the Speaker of a co-equal branch of government, genius.

That is up to to the members of the House to do so. So get on their ass about Ryan.

It is true; the next deal is with the Democrats for the people. The freedom caucus is cancerous to conservatism when they cannot make a deal with President Trump, Vice President Pence, and their own party. The caucus sold us out to the Democrats. They are out of their league and are unable or unwilling to be part of a governing coalition. Thus, President Trump and his very conservative team have to turn to the Democrats and the result will be less conservative than what the caucus turned down.

The anti-Trumpers, aks global Communists were not interested in repealing O-care. Maybe Trump tried to be a unifier or believed what Ryan told him. The fact remains O-care should be repealed.

People are purchasing unqualified Plans directly from the insurance carriers at considerable savings compared to the Obamacare qualified plans.

One must ask oneself why the democrats allowed the carriers to offer these unqualified Plans under O-care? Then people are taxed the penalty at tax time for NOT being covered under a qualified plan.

This causes adverse selection - which drives O-care premiums up. So the carriers make money on the “underground” markets, and dump O-care. If O-care was to truly work, democrats should have legislated that carriers to only sell the O-plans. Creating a healthier insurance pool. Carriers either played in the O-care market or get completely out and go sell property & casualty insurance. If democrats wanted O-care to truly work they would have mandated that everyone had to purchase in the O-care market. No waivers for government, union or employer plans.

But oh no, democrat/communists put the burden on the back of the middle class.

Repeal O-care, destroy the monopolies with insurance carriers and healthcare providers and set the market truly free.

Reminder: HFC voted for Ryan. Not one HFC member challenged him as speaker.

The freedom caucus needs to realize they work for Trump! The people want the TRUMP AGENDA!!!! The bill was 3 phases....either you beleive in Trump or you dont! I see ZERO reason to doubt him.

“I’m not sure why ‘our side’ is so eager to take the responsibility for the morass of legislation that is ocare.”

Because it doesn’t exist in a void, and everyone that is screwed by it is going to look at the party in power to fix the mess.

“And for the President to demand lemming-like lock step from independent minded conservatives who have principled objections is silly.”

“principled objections” doesn’t mean $*^t to the people that were forced into this system, and have no way out, while they look at a bunch of “principled” people that are exempt from it, sit around and feel smug that they got a “win” that will ultimately leave it in place for who knows how long.

I’m sure it wasn’t a full repeal so it’d have been pointless to the FC.
