You are right, of course. Worse, they re-nominated him.

So Ryan was nominated and re-nominated as Speaker despite being a rabid neverTrumper and an Obama fluffer

So now when Trump has to deal with their chosen 'representative' and craft some POS bill designed to fail....They get hysterical and point fingers at Trump.

Morons.

Candidate Donald Trump endorsed Paul Ryan against his primary election opponent.
Every member of the Republican Party in the House voted for Paul Ryan to remain as Speaker, except for one, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, a member of the Freedom Caucus.

I would take the HFC a lot more seriously if they stood on principle when it was UNpopular to do so.

Instead, what do they obstruct? The Trump agenda. Instead of working on pulling the bill more to the right and maybe getting assurances that the rest of the stages would be implemented? It’s just stomp stomp stomp, no no no.

The bill probably would have still failed, but if they’d shown even a little more willingness to work with the President, he’d be working with them instead of the liberals when the next bill came out.

Their ‘principled’ stand did their cause far more harm than good with this stunt because they proved that they either can’t be trusted or can’t be reasoned with.
