I’m really at a loss to understand how someone so politically tone-deaf has risen to such heights in the GOP so as to be a VP candidate and Speaker of the House. I can think of nothing that he’s ever accomplished of note, and quite a few abject failures. It’s just a head-scratcher.
Establishment turds rise to the top in the GOP. Like Willard and McQueeg, he was there to assure no Conservative won the Presidency (including anti-establishment Trump, where he was looking forward to being the #1 national Republican as Speaker under President Butcheress of Benghazi).
