No one in any of the republican factions seems to have Trump’s back.

I don’t disagree with that but the Freedom Caucus doesn’t have one accomplishment/deal made. Look it up. They were formed in 2015 and don’t make any deals or pass anything.

They only go against things so left to run wild nothing will ever get done with them.

Of course, because he is more or less a third party candidate. Third party candidates do not agree consistently with the left or right.

With their numbers they’re doing as well as it’s possible.

I’d like to see you lead a Constitutional group that has 7% of the votes against 93% for big government and get better results.

Initially, I was upset with the Freedom Caucus, because I thought they were a bunch of purists who would be waiting until the Second Coming to get a bill conservative enough to please them.

However, the more I learned about the divisive and secretive process by which Paul Ryan & the Establishment leadership has put this thing together, the less I want it to become law.

When you hear people like Newt Gingrich, someone who lots Paul Ryan a lot, blast him and the Republican leadership for botching the bill and the negotiations, you know there is something seriously wrong here.

It seems to me this health care debate is a matter of individual perspective. I’m on Medicare so I suppose I’m on a subsidized government medical plan. Before Uncle Sam my employer paid for 90% of my plan. So, if I’m honest, I haven’t a clue what it’s like to buy health care. The dirty secret is I think there are a lot of folks like me between situations like mine, the VA and Medicaid. So battle on, as far as I’m concerned we already have socialized health care.

He’d rather fight with 200 RINO’s on his side than with 18 HFC goobers.

435 - 200 = 235.

If Trump wants to win he needs conservatives. The fact that he thinks he doesn't need them is evidence that he has no ideological core. It shows a stunning lack of competence that he has the House and the Senate and still can't make this thing come around right.

Nice soliloquy, but that reasoning doesn’t wash.

Rewind the tape and listen to the inauguration speech where the newly elected President Trump said that this was the time that power was to be transferred FROM Washington DC TO the people.

This sad excuse for a healthcare bill was nowhere close to that.

It’s up to him to lead and convince people to do the right thing, certainly not to follow the wet-noodle RINOs.

I want the Freedom Caucus and President Trump to sit down and make it work. Assigning blame only gums up the works and helps our enemies on the left. Get to work, people. Times being wasted.

I’m just extremely frustrated at all the gridlock and road blocks obstructing President Trump’s agenda.
I am livid at the leftist courts staying his vetting orders (denying his Constitutional authority to keep us safe).
Now, these legislative hurdles are threatening to derail all the promises he ran on to MAGA.

Time is of the essence as well and he has declared that he inherited a MESS!!
However, he does acknowledge in his new weekly address today that our system of government does take TIME especially in the legislative branch. Hopefully, there will be sufficient time for President to accomplish most of his goals.

It was a GARBAGE bill. ObamaCare 2.0.

Our premiums would not have gone down, and would only continue to go up.

THAT is “THE” issue. The ONLY issue.

How can anyone (including POTUS) not understand that?

If this crap bill passed, Repubs would have be decimated in 2018.

The FC saved the day.

Let’s get a GOOD bill going. One that actually (here’s a concept) does what POTUS PROMISED US it would do.

I’ve been a YUGE Trump supporter but the guy is quickly losing me. You don’t bite the hand that brought you to the dance.

Get with it, Donald. We elected you to fix shit. Start getting it done.

Lou Dobbs, Laura Ingraham both on Sean’s TV show at the time had a wild segment (see on Youtube) they all agreed that Ryan mishandled the rollout of the bill, and it was only popular with 17% of the folks.

All three agreed it was not smart to go after the Caucus who want a bill that lowers costs and deductibles for heathcare. Ryans bill is almost as bad as Ocare because the Insurance company swamp prevents cost savings.

And God bless him for doing so. Trump is going down a very unfortunate path here. Given how many of his top advisers are liberal Dems (Ivanka, Jared, Cohn, etc.), I don’t know what the hope is to get him right again, but we’ve gotta put up our best possible stink in trying.

If the Freedom Caucus doesn’t have more accomplishments it is because of all the RINOs/GOPe-types in Congress. Like Trump, you’re aiming for the wrong side.

He has an ideological base. He ran on repealing and replacing with the statement that he would provide care to those who can’t afford it. I think conservatives who feel betrayed may have tried to project positions on to Trump he didn’t advocate for. He’s more moderate on healthcare because he ran as more of a populist than conservative.

I think Trump is setting Ryan up for a fall

Trump knows Ryan is part of the swamp

His admonitions to the Freedom Caucus are part of the
act

In the near future Trump will hold a press conference
& say sorry Mr Ryan, you have failed, time to step down
as Speaker

And if Trump keeps pushing liberal Democrat-style legislation that is counter to what he campaigned on, disingenuously telling us how “great” it is—should they?

Let’s hope that Trump doesn’t walk into the circular firing squad and work up a hate against the Freedom Caucus. There are those of us who believe that the Freedom Caucus unwisely took an all-or-nothing approach, refusing to take small steps in the right direction, but we know that they will end up supporting Trump 90% of the time. Trump is going to lose his Congressional majority if he starts a war over this.

By the same argument - if Trump wants to win he needs democrats also.

It ain’t just HFC members who oppose TrumpCare. Plenty of RINOS’s don’t like it either......

The truth is that nobody knows for sure who would have voted against the bill — since House Speaker Paul Ryan pulled it from the floor before a vote was cast.

However, IBD examined two lists — compiled by NBC News and Heavy.com — of those who had publicly stated that they were leaning or definite “no” votes on the American Health Care Act. Combining the two lists, it adds up to 44 Republicans who could have cast “no” votes if they’d had the chance.

Of those, only 18 are members of the Freedom Caucus.
