House Freedom Caucus Member Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) urged President Trump to continue working with the caucus, because they have been a staunch ally of his throughout his tenure.

Gohmert said on "Sunday Morning Futures" that Trump and the Freedom Caucus came to agreements twice during the ObamaCare replacement negotiations, but that "establishment" figures convinced the president to rebuff them.

snipRepublican 'establishment' leaders like Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus "had a meeting" and decided to "go to war against the people that defended the president, when Ryan and those guys abandoned him," Gohmert said.

You gonna lie to his face again?

Because I think Trump is more than willing to negotiate with all comers.

If they’re honest.

Justin Amash‏Verified account @justinamash Character matters. @realDonaldTrump has been saying outrageous, offensive things the whole time. He should have stepped aside long ago.

Louie’s right.

Dance with the ones that brung yuh.

Ryan was a Never Trumper snake just a few months ago and is entirely responsible for the current mess. Trump made the mistake of trusting him.

No more.

President Trump really needs to understand who his core political friends are & which group is willing to fight to defend his Administration against the fake news narrative designed be the establishment uniparty to preface impeachment proceedings.....

Somehow I don’t think having Jared and Ivanka as his primary advisors is going to help him to get that.

“Dance with the ones that brung yuh.”

That would be the Obama voters in battleground states. Freedom Cuck-us had more Cruz than Trump supporters.

"Jordan, who says he voted for Ted Cruz in Ohio’s 4th district, did not endorse in the presidential primary. This was out of respect, he says, for his home-state governor, John Kasich."

Jared and Ivanka are RUINING Trump. Trump, tell the kids to just focus on the business you handed over to them, and let Melania be a true first lady. I don’t like this “First Daughter” crap, no matter how drop-dead-and-now-I-have-to-take-a-cold-shower-gorgeous Ivanka is.

Hmmm..If Lou Gohmert is saying this, maybe I should take down my freshly painted Freedom Caucus pinata. Don’t throw the pinata away, just yet, but stop treating the F.C. like ‘the enemy’.
It’s not that simple anymore.

It’s funny...a year ago badmouthing conservatives and the freedom caucus would have gotten you banned from this forum.

Now it’s all about pragmatism, damn the conservative ideology.

Word increasingly has been that Jared is most influential, and Ivanka right up there as well.

Look, the Obamacare-lite that Ryan was pushing would have cost the Republicans their majorities in Congress. The point of having Republicans in power is not to get what Paul Ryan thinks is a good idea passed into law, no matter how bad it is. The Freedom Caucus is right on this. Repeal Obamacare, as promised by Republicans since 2010.

Yup, I don't get Trump. Ryan putting his ”Better Way” ahead of Trump's agenda, yet Trump pisses on the FC. I guess I just play checkers.

But they stuck with Trump. There are a lot of Democrats that vote for Pelosi that do not want her. Money is the real speaker in politics.
