I don’t dispute that. He is also a good person. But as President he suffered from the same malady as Obama: He thought he was smarter than everybody else and allowed a massive decline in the strength and preparedness of our military in addition to an unwillingness to use it . . . then came Reagan.
As breathtakingly incompetent as Jimmy Carter was, he didn’t hate his country. That distinguishes him from Barack Obama.
