Tillersons / Lavrovs opening statements regarding Syria:
Very interesting to hear these ‘seasoned’ men in this exchange as it certainly reveals Tillersons absolute control of what he’s saying, notably ‘without notes’. ...yet the calm and steady eye to eye contact he never let drop. His hand jesters also remind us how comfortable he is in his position and reinforces to Lavrov his invitation to join in meaningful conversations ahead in their meeting.
No doubt Tillerson is sharp as a tack and certainly the right man on Trumps team for such work. Should make us all proud.

The lack of manners by our media is embarrassing. The fact that she is not embarrassed by her behavior is proof of the problem. You have two foreign ministers meeting for a short photo-op and she is screaming like it is an interview at a rock concert.
He also asked “Who is bringing you up?” Not a full English or complete translation for: “Who raised you”?
This is a common phrase when we were children, asked by a neighbor or teacher, when we acted improperly. Also considered a side attack on our parents for not teaching us proper manner and etiquette.
The full slap down by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov:
“Who was bringing you up?”
“Who was giving you your manners?”
Breaking: Putin and Tillerson have just been meeting together for over an hour.....which was not on the agenda....this is a good thing.
Actually it was more than a photo-opt....this was the beginning of their meetings which was why it was so intrusive...here is where it continued after they sat down...and a good listen. Note how Tillerson is eye to eye with Lavrov the entire time he’s speaking....and never reads off notes...Lavrov was quite as attentive at first but then realizes the moment and he too joins in the eye contact...

Hopefully they keep her away from Putin. Boorish behavior by reporters is not conducive to a healthy visit in Russia.
