I didn't support getting involved in Syria under Jughead and I doubt many here did either, yet now it's a good thing because the Commander-in-Chief is Pres. Trump? I can't believe so many here would agree with McCain, Lindsey, Rubio and Peloski.

I voted for Trump but I don't believe he's infallible. The truth is that no one knows who dropped the chemicals unless they were there to see it. The President had to rely on intel that was given to him and I don't know that he wasn't being set up. He mentioned viewing pictures of babies that were victims but we can't allow policy to be decided by emotional responses to pictures.

Pissant is not a never trumper and neither am I. We elected a president, not a god. If he screws up he will hear about it from me and every other true American. Things change for sure; just look at George W. Bush.

No sir, if Trump doesn’t live up to the promises he made and abandon those of us who prayed for him our full wrath will rise to the fore. That hasn’t happened yet but I am starting to get a bit nervous.

#NeverTrump brigade on this forum.

Like Ann I've always been an enthusiastic supporter of Trump from the beginning. But I don't worship the man, I merely supported the policies he proposed. Should he start backtracking on those policies, then I start backtracking on supporting him, simple as that.

At the end of his speech on the bombing of Syria Trump said “God Bless America and God Bless the world.” I think he did that on purpose to send a signal that he is no long a “Nationalist” (America Firster). It was a big globalist uniparty boot to the teeth of his supporters.

Time will tell.

People tell me what a brilliant political move it was hitting Assad, how it changes the politics here, how it pokes a thumb in the eye of all of our potential adversaries.

And all of that may be true, if Assad really did deploy sarin. But I’m not yet convinced. That he launched an air raid, yes. That he bombed them with sarin, no. Too many fake “war crimes” have been filmed by these people. No western reporters can get into the area without getting killed, so western reporters are entirely dependent on Al Qaeda to tell them what is happening in their area.

If you listen closely, our surveillance proves there was an air attack. It doesn’t and can’t prove it was sarin.

They told us an air attack on a sarin facility wouldn’t release enough sarin to hurt anyone, since its stored “binary”. But we didn’t attack the supposed sarin stores at the air base because we didn’t want a release of sarin. Did anyone else notice this?

There are lots of good reasons to get rid of Assad. But not if the replacement is Al Qaeda, or ISIS, or Muslim Brotherhood. Obama, the Turks, and the Saudis sabotaged their own policy when they hired Al Qaeda to do their dirty work. There are ways to unravel this and get rid of Assad, but we haven’t done it yet. So far, we are still on the side of people worse than Assad.

That is rich! I would say that it is Trump supporters who are getting a yoga-level limberness twisting to support his actions. I did not support Trump for obvious reasons - but I hope the best for us all and do not suffer partisan attacks against my President. Of course conservatives are going to have trouble supporting a populist (all but) democrat.

He also said repeatedly during the campaign that the US should stay out of the mess in Syria. So which Trump do we believe...?

Hows it going p a? Just like DJT taking off on the Freedom Caucus on Obamacare, I’m thinking that there may be some establishment neocon influence that creeps into his ear on these things. If it stops here on Syria, then I don’t have a problem—but if it doesn’t...

I didn’t really agree with the attack because I think Trump got played. That being said I’m no bleeding heart for Assad. So Trump bombed an airfield. He didn’t even crater the runways. It got China’s attention and pinned Putey’s ears back. A win win. If he has gotten the ChiComs to go along with putting the Norks in a time out then even better.

Now that is true. She does so in dramatic fashion, where most of us normal people will blast his mis-steps w/o the drama. But criticism of policy, in of itself, is what we should do to every politician.

The title sux: “Lassie Come Home” = ?

Some of us know that TV’s “Lassie” was actually a “Laddie,” or several Laddies, but that makes the title even worse! President Trump is no “Linda” Graham or Mrs. McCain.

POTUS is TOUGH! Want proof? Just today he okayed a MOAB drop!

100% on point perfection. The rah-rah crowd won’t face up to it though, they will continue to try and make excuses.

You’re not supposed to give out clues like that to the crew who think that Trump is playing checkers. Not that they’ll get it anyway.

and that’s at the root of Trump training Assad not to kill civilians. The only way that Syrian safe zones will work is if Assad isn’t killing civilians. Otherwise they will refuse to leave Europe.
