Marriage is a wonderful experience with the right spouse. It is also very non-wonderful when that pairing goes off track or was ill advised in the beginning.
You’re absolutely right. Women are more than willing to share the attentions of an alpha male, rather than have the exclusive devotion of a lesser beta male. Harems already exist for both single and married alpha men; you just don’t publically hear about them.
Didn’t we already go through this in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s...
And you’re absolutely right! Alpha men DO have harems except that it’s socially acceptable for them to say that they have a wife and a couple mistresses on the side. For corporate CEO types it’s almost a social requirement that they have a mistress.
Wrong! Almost 30 years here. Faithful. Don’t assume everyone else has fallen into infidelity. BTW central VA is lovely country - have a son & wife with a beautiful little granddaughter there.

Sometimes wish include have but, they went down a path no one should go and that combined with their lack of earnest commitment made it impossible.

Define love. A lot of people define love as a feeling and when they lose that “feeling” they use that to justify screwing another person they suddenly “love” now.
I’ve had my share of temptations through the years but thanks to my Christian upbringing and the example of a faithful mother and father, who stuck with each other through thick and thin (those were different days), now in my sixth decade I am not likely to wander.
You have my sympathy. I have lifelong friends whose marriages didn’t work out. It’s not for me to judge. I wish you the best and every happiness.
