Jeff Sessions, Unleashed at the Border (NYT squealing)
New York Times ^ | APRIL 13, 2017

Posted on 04/14/2017 6:35:53 AM PDT by reaganaut1

Attorney General Jeff Sessions went to the border in Arizona on Tuesday and declared it a hellscape, a “ground zero” of death and violence where Americans must “take our stand” against a tide of evil flooding up from Mexico.

It was familiar Sessions-speak, about drug cartels and “transnational gangs” poisoning and raping and chopping off heads, things he said for years on the Senate floor as the gentleman from Alabama. But with a big difference: Now he controls the machinery of federal law enforcement, and his gonzo-apocalypto vision of immigration suddenly has force and weight behind it, from the officers and prosecutors and judges who answer to him.

When Mr. Sessions got to the part about the “criminal aliens and the coyotes and the document forgers” overthrowing our immigration system, the American flag behind him had clearly heard enough — it leaned back and fell over as if in a stupor. An agent rushed to rescue it, and stood there for the rest of the speech: a human flag stand and metaphor. A guy with a uniform and gun, wrapped in Old Glory, helping to give the Trump administration’s nativist policies a patriotic sheen.

It was in the details of Mr. Sessions’s oratory that his game was exposed. He talked of cities and suburbs as immigrant-afflicted “war zones,” but the crackdown he seeks focuses overwhelmingly on nonviolent offenses, the document fraud and unauthorized entry and other misdeeds that implicate many people who fit no sane definition of brutal criminal or threat to the homeland.

Document fraud and identity theft are not victimless crimes. I’m glad Sessions is working for the American people.

It's telling that the Slimes can always gin up hysteria over US militia groups, whose members number in probably the dozens, with a good percentage of those being undercover feds, but continually make light of ultra-violent gangs such as M-13 and others, who are often affiliated with the drug cartels. These gangs utilise intimidation, sadistic violence, and targeting of innocent family members of their primary victims, yet the Slimes act as if they're some insignificant hobbyist group.

They treat black gang violence the same way.

They pretend that the KKK and neo-Nazis are a huge threat to national security.

They ignore muzzie violence as a coordinated threat by muslims, in the name of Islam.

IOW, they live in backwards world.

Of course, the fact that a wealthy Mexican owns the Slimes, has no connection to any of this. I wonder how much money they receive from CAIR, the front group for muzzie terrorist groups?

It's a good thing that they seem to believe that the crocodile will eat them last, when Marxist history shows that the useful idiots are among the first to be lined up against the wall.

I know that hypocrisy is a hallmark of the left, but I hope that in at least one case, they are true believers-that being their opposition to the Second Amendment. Because I want them to try defending themselves using the Sixties tactic (their revered golden age) of putting flowers in the barrels of the guns of the men who are about to ventilate them.

“good thing that the NYT did not have an intrepid reporter on the summit of Mt. Suribachi when it was taken from the Japanese in 1945...”

Joe Rosenthal’s photo was a photo op the next day. Not saying it was fake news, but he and the soldiers were not there dodging bullets.

Sessions is such an interesting character. He's like a BIG spider in the corner....just watching.

Then he makes his move and scares the sh** out of everyone.

He's one big winning pick by Trump.

Bleeding heart nonsense over factual substance of criminal acts for which the law (colorblind, justice-blind) was designed and implemented.

More do-gooder, bleeding heart ‘feelings’ that can’t even hope to triumph on things like facts so they depend on BS heart tugging irrationality.

The technique of law enforcement Sessions is using was invented by Rudy Guiliani when he was mayor of NYC. Enforce the "small" laws, and the big ticket items are reduced automatically.

"....focuses overwhelmingly on nonviolent offenses, the document fraud and unauthorized entry and other misdeeds that implicate many people who fit no sane definition of brutal criminal or threat to the homeland.

If an illegal immigrant is deported for those "small" violations before he joins a gang (or if he is a gang member to begin with), he/she is unavailable to perpetrate drug dealing or other "big ticket" crimes. NYT is a total dumbass these days.

He is probably the one man in this administration in whom I have faith that his principles are rock solid and that he truly believes in them. One reason for my belief in him is that his decades-long record says as much.

People who do not live on the border in the smuggling areas do not believe what is happening. They do not want to know, and the media has been more than happy to cover things up and more often not cover things that happen here.

So happy we have leadership now that understands we cannot and should not have an open border. Open border means the cartels control land that is part of the U.S. and anyone that thinks differently needs to get a clue.

In my area right now the Border Patrol is going into areas they did not go into before, flushing smugglers out. There have been numerous chases, drugs seized,ETC. One chase resulted in a wreck that closed the Interstate for a while. We have had kidnappings, murders, shots fired...very little reporting on any of it- by design.

This reporter needs to come down here and camp out a little on the border and find out what is really going on here.

Wait, I'm confused...

What happened to all those Freepers who were beating their chest claiming Sessions was a sell out globalist when he recused himself from the congressional committee investigating non existent Russia / Trump collusion...

nativist policies

Wow, that's what they call a policy that suggests that the country belongs to those who built it and live there, lawfully.
