But as you said they would have little fuel once they arrived, and the crew would be beat to hell.
Their normal, published range is 10,000 miles on a full tank.

Yes it is....they blow into the wind while they barter with nations fundings to line their own pockets...
The CBU-100 (several versions) works just fine when dropped from B-52s and B-1Bs.
They could eliminate all artillery in range of Seoul in 24 hours or less. And every time a new piece popped out of a tunnel, upon first shot would be eliminated.

I think I would be terrified if I live in Seoul.

Korean crisis: Trump sends in three aircraft carriers scotsman.com
Pentagon commits three US aircraft carriers to North Korea trunews.com
1 carrier battle group probably wouldn't be considered an "armada", but 3 might:
We are sending an armada. Very powerful, Trump told Fox Business Network. We have submarines. Very powerful. Far more powerful than the aircraft carrier. That I can tell you.
There was more than meets the eye when Trump stated that and the redirection of the Vinson was known.
You should be advising Mad Dog and then President.
Sorry, You should be advising Mad Dog and the President.
Its an aircraft carrier and its named Ronald Reagan? That’s like naming a hurricane Hurricane Ditka.
Somebody should inform the Korea Herald that the Ronald Reagan is home ported in Yokosuka not Yokohama.
Spell correction Monday is it?
Hard to prepare? Do ya really think WW-II style artillery/rockets are hard find, locate and eliminate once our assets are in the region? Even if well hidden, they become an immediate target as soon as they open up.
believe me, Mattis does not need my help
it’s an important distinction
Yeah, committing 3 carrier battlegroups is more then an exercise...

It's likely happened at least a half dozen times I'd guess closer to a dozen starting with the Iranian Hostage Crisis. We pulled one east coast CV the JFK if I remember right to leave for the IO and go down and around as we were not yet taking CV or CVN's through Suez. The Suez was closed to carrier at the Six Day War and reopened in late 1981 when USS AMERICA made the transit through.
Three have been on station in the PG and IO several times over the years afterward especially when we abandoned the two carrier presense in the Med Sea.
Oh look. Another 4 pillow couch general
