Vice President Mike Pence made a surprise trip the Korean Demilitarized Zone on Monday, reportedly breaking his security plan in order to get a closer look at North Korean troops amid increased tensions in the region.
Wearing a leather bomber jacket, Pence ventured outside and appeared to stare daggers at Kim Jong-Un’s soldiers.
That's one cold stare.
The vice president wasn’t supposed to go outside, but he told his security detail it was something he wanted to see, CNN reported.
The Korean DMZ is the strip of land that separates North Korea from South Korea and includes small blue buildings, referred to as “conference row,” where talks with international VIPs generally occur.
The North Korean soldiers could be seen on the other side of the DMZ taking pictures of the vice president....

I feel sorry for the regular North Korean citizens, particularly Christians.

Dad didn’t serve in combat
H was the jag officer for his base and was in charge of supply depot for the better part of South Pacific. He got his star for the secret work they did on modification of planes. Adding guns — adjusting size — to handle Really BIG Bomb etc.
Looking at the pictures of Pence in the Dmz reminded me of how dad described the “catching” of Japanese soldiers that were “left behind”. They baited them with food and good food smells Dad said most were just hungry young boys who had no idea what they were doing. (Of course there were a few living off the land that they kept an eye out for.)
the NK look so hungry and malnourished Tonight on FOX one general explained how much smaller people in NK were in comparison to their southern cousins.
