I find it interesting that liberals loathe censorship. Except, try to show films of an abortion.
Which brings to mind a basic truth of the multiverse: “If liberals didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.”
Every culture practices infanticide in one shape or form. Give it a soft selling name out of focus groups and you get “pro choice”. Along with “products of conception”.
Somehow, I’ve never really agonized over this. As I see it, there are two questions here:
1) Is abortion wrong?
2) Should women who abort be punished?
In the wake of Roe v Wade, I only concern myself with Question #1 — I say abortion is wrong, and I want to see abortions end in about 99.9999% of cases. That’s the big thing for me.
Punishing the women? Such an idea pretty obviously gets in the way of the solution to Question #1.
Only the Pro-Abortion people want to obsess over the need to punish women who abort. As a Pro-lifer, I have no interest in it.
Abortion is politically correct murder. Socially acceptable (to Leftists) and encouraged by the Left. Their souls will suffer, as do most women who realize what they have done, after the fact.
Ok, don’t put the mother in jail. Since the doctor is doing the scraping, lets put the doctor in jail.
Tell you what, we’ll put the woman and her doctor in a cage and let them fight it out.
Try to imagine the mindset of a woman who knowingly kills the unborn human life which is her own conception. A man who knowingly partners with such a woman is a fool and will have a miserable experience.
The amount of guilt depends on how much they really know about what happened and what they were thinking and doing at the time. Thanks to lies the legality of abortion is foggy; the same lies cloud the morality.
There’s no difference between abortion and turning your neighbors in to be sent to a death camp. They’re both legal.
I’ve not heard anyone say they want to punish women for abortion. Most people leave that to God. I suppose there are some real zealots out there that want to put these women in jail. I don’t.
If they abort the baby, how are they “mothers?”
Like calories without fat?
How can anyone justify abortion - the killing of one’s own child?
Society needs to elevate the moral values (and return to the values that Jesus Our Lord taught us) that we hold important.
Yes we have good people that follow moral laws, and we have others who do not. Why should people that harm society not be punished?
How about punishing the fathers??
This must be one of the ways people compromise with and then eventually turn to the dark side...
Just as it is not right to refuse to punish some under the law, it is also wrong to punish those who work within the law. Until the law is changed, babies will die and the atrocity will continue.
So, 90% of the women questioned would not even consider abortion if it weren't legal. That was in the 1970s.
Let us consider this: Planned Parenthood and SEICUS and the NEA have worked very hard to train children to accept abortion as a right, so that when they become of age it would only be natural for them to consider abortion as one of their options.
To blame the woman solely for getting an abortion is not only unfair but it also allows the perps off the hook completely who teach our children that killing their baby is the best and only option.
If an unborn child is human life, then abortion is murder...And most heinous at that.
Dead is Dead.. period. How ya reach that state is out of the control of the unborn. and the born.
For those who are pained when life is snuffed and express sorrow, thank you, for those who snuff life to keep their lifestyle, for shame.
We live in a time when life has no value to many.. and a time when some gleefully fulfill their mission of murdering and don’t bat an eye doing it.. God help us all.
