“Introduce my mother ... “

You know, I thought I was evil. (Backs slowly towards the door.) But maybe I’m just runner-up. Have a great day. (Turns and sprints away.)

2029 or 12 years from now is the target date, by the so called “elite”, for them to sell Transhumanism and the Singularity.....This is the stuff the Bible warned us about.

Stay away from wearables and A.I. machines like Amazon Echo, Google Home, etc...

Complete B.S. that are Souls can transfer to a machine. All we will see is a copy via an Android (human looking Robot) of what was once a human. I don’t care how real these Androids may appear and seem. See the movie Moon if you need an example.

Let’s say for arguments sake it is possible to merge our Souls with machines.... There is simply NO WAY I will even agree to it. They can shut off the machine, and it turn it off anytime they want. Complete insanity loved by people like Soros, Bill Gates, Ray Kurzweil and Elon Musk.

“...Elon Musk seems to enjoy behaving like a Bond villain....”

or maybe like the disheveled kid in class who had no friends and read tattered sci-fi books during recess and lunch in the corner

I've only seen two Teslas in my neck of the woods. Both of them were on tow trucks.

Seriously. Not a joke.

The anime movie lays out the issues of technological singularity better than the live action movie. JMHO.

How many US taxpayer dollars is he going to need to try and pull this off?

The new WSJ (since control was handed to Murdoch’s son) news pages have become shills for Musk & most of the top arrogant technologists.

When I see the name Elon Musk in the Wall Street Journal, my mind says: “pro bono advertisement”.

Only the OpEd page (under control of the old owners) speaks up about how good a miner Musk is - mining the public treasuries.

The ultimate computer imprinted with Elon Musk’s engrams.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708481/?ref_=ttep_ep24

Captain James T. Kirk: There were many men aboard those ships. They were murdered. Must you survive by murder?
M-5: This unit cannot murder.
Captain James T. Kirk: Why?
M-5: Murder is contrary to the laws of man and God.
Captain James T. Kirk: But you HAVE murdered. Scan the starship Excalibur, which you destroyed. Is there life aboard?
M-5: No life.
Captain James T. Kirk: Because you MURDERED it. What is the penalty for murder?
M-5: Death.
Captain James T. Kirk: And how will you pay for your acts of murder?
M-5: This - unit - must - die.

He's nothing more than a 21st Century snake oil salesman, flim-flam man.

I really want to know what it is the guy will whisper to me that is more important than watching Bond die in a particularly gruesome way.

"Sir, the lingerie models have arrived and are waiting for you in reception."

consensual telepathy...

Sounds like a great idea until the first hacker gets a "man in middle" exploit going.

Singularity and Trans-humanism are definitely a sign of the End Times and point towards the rapidly approaching mark of the beast. The mark will be sold as security, economic certainty, safety, and solidarity. But it will also be sold as a way to create “superhumans”, and is the final lie from Satan that humans can become as gods. It will ultimately be enforced through coersion, terror, and execution.

I don't understand your logic. Why do you elevate a transitional phase - biological intelligence - onto a pedestal? Are we really worthy of worship, or are we simply an evolutionary stage before true intelligence is realized?

Consciousness is produced by a primitive neurochemical soup contained in a biological substrate weighing less than 1.5lbs. (The rest of the brain controls the 'engine' that produces/manages nutrients & energy for the cerebrum.)

Future generations will conclude that it was actually quite trivial to replicate both structure and processes. As the ability to design, grow & modify DNA organs coincides with advances in quantum computing, intelligence will be able to freely migrate back & forth.

Even with simple communications standards such as bluetooth, telepathy between devices will become routine. In fact, it's how robots will be controlled to perform traditional manual labor ie no different than how we control our muscles today. By short circuiting traditional senses, entire industries will emerge that provide 'experiences' that won't be detectable as 'not real'

Once intelligence is reduced to pure energy & light, then 'humanity' will be able to really explore the universe. Which then raises the question, who says we're first? If this is the natural evolutionary end-game, how do we know we're not just a seed farm for others to observe and study our progress?

You seem like a smart person. I well know that 99% will reject these concepts out of hand due to ignorance, but you appear to "get it". There's no reason to be a reactionary; consider the possibilities.

Many people probably don’t have the reading comprehension skills for 60s sci-fi (let alone 40s detective fiction), so they think Mr. Musk (*snicker*) has a novel notion.
