Here’s another fascinating wildlife education opportunity if anyone is interested in loons (the avian variety, not political). I have followed Larry’s blog and the loon cam for years now and have learned more about loons from Larry and this close-up cam view than from a lifetime of summers observing loons on our Minnesota lakes.
Larry is a loon expert and a very descriptive writer so his blog posts are as much fun to read as the loon cam is to watch. His most recent blog entry contains much detail about the nest itself. It is located on a central Minnesota lake but Larry simply calls it “Loon Lake” so as not to give the exact location away.

Morning all....I think the Trump team needs to put out A LOT of tv ads pointing out the obstruction, contrary, non-working together attitude of the dems, for all to see. Over and over again.
I am thinking that President Trump and Cruz planned this bill to pay for the wall with Elchapo donations. I can’t help but wonder what hoops they have to jump through to make it happen, or if some rogue Obama-donating judge can strike it down. Would be fun to watch Trump go around the system and start building.
Off to help my daughter on the farm today. She has a market garden stand all summer and grows tons of organic vegetables, free-range eggs, pastured lamb and chickens, etc. She put about 450 broccoli plants in the other day. It’s been so wet up here....hard to get into the garden.

69 years this summer. Married right out of high school and never looked back. It’s been an incredible run, praise God! Nobody trains my hubby. He is very hard headed-helps out in the house as he appreciates help out side. Very frustrating when things have to be done his way, but I can sit back and let him do it his way even if his way is harder and takes longer. Years ago, he commented on the way I was holding the dust pan. It soon became his job to sweep the floor and hold the dust pan in his more efficient way. Ditto with our dishwasher. Our first home had a dishwasher which in those days was quite noisy. He commented that he could do dishes in 10 minutes and not have to listen to that washer for 45 min. When the children left the nest and the dishwasher wore out, guess who started doing dishes and still does them to this day.
