Your lilacs are BEAUTIFUL!!

As a girl, I had lilac everything....bedding, throw rug, perfume (toilet water....do you remember toilet water?? Why did they call it that? :)

Do they do best in cooler, dry climates? I’d love to have them, but I’m in humid, SE TX :(

I had lilac wall paper in my bedroom. It was beautiful. Good morning Thor. I’m fighting mad already this morning over the slamming of our President and his First Daughter. I’m trying to get behind your sword Thor. LOL

Try the Korean lilac It is an ornamental scrub — blooms a bit later than traditional — fuller bush.

Lilac was always my favorite color when I was a girl, too! It’s very feminine.

My senior prom dress was lilac satin, a very simple pattern, with deeper purple trim. My grandmother made it. :-)

I lived for half a century in the area east of Houston and I never saw a lilac there, but the ones in our yard here are huge and hardy!

The first spring we were here we had a very wet and heavy snow. The poor lilacs were bent over severely because of the weight. I started trying to gently shake off some of the snow and saw buds falling, so I stopped. After the snow melted there were no broken limbs! They’re used to it. :-)
