First daughter and Special Assistant to the President Ivanka Trump was booed and hissed by an audience in Germany on Tuesday when she attempted to defend Donald Trump's record on women's issues.
Speaking before the W-20 panel on women's issues as part of the G-20 summit in Berlin, the first daughter was met with loud disapproval when she described the president as a lifelong advocate of women.
"That is something I'm very proud of my father's advocacy, long before he came into the presidency, he championed this in the primaries," she said. "He's been a tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive."

When Trump criticized the media for covering more than a dozen women's accusations of sexual assault against her father, the room of female delegates could be heard laughing.
"I certainly heard the criticism from the media, and that's been perpetuated, but I know from personal experience, and I think the thousands of people who have worked with and for my father for decades when he was in the private sector are a testament to his belief and solid conviction in the potential of women and their ability to do the job as well as any man," Trump told the crowd.

The audience also burst into laughter when the moderator asked Trump to explain her unconventional role in the White House, where she has a West Wing office and the title of special assistant to the president but no official portfolio.

I was in Germany as a teen, when Reagan was president. The Germans absolutely hated him. For some reason, they appear to hate when America is strong.

I hear you. Part of me is disgusted. But my practical side says anyone who cares about the Deplorable agenda and it not being sabotaged from within should be pleased. Many East Berliners regretted the wall coming down; it meant they had to actually work for a living instead of collecting bennies from the Collective. A dentist, for example, had to see patients EVERY DAY to make a living.....

Me too, but I was in the US Army and it was only 15 years after the end of WWII.
I spoke fluent German, was 18 years old and had both a rifle and a gun and was with the winning army...life was good.
Stationed in Schweinfurt, living in the barracks of the SS Troops {with tile shower floors} and 5,000% better than any barracks provided for any American troop any where in the USA.
Two soldiers to a room with their own bath room, {enlisted, not officers} the officers had individual rooms.
The NAZI's were pricks but they treated their military very well.
The German's both loved and hated the Americans, but that was almost 60 years ago and having been back several times, I think, for the most part, they blame their problems on us.
