Ann Coulter: Not Building the Wall Is a Government Shutdown
Breitbart ^ | April 26, 2017 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 04/26/2017 9:20:54 PM PDT by EliRoom8

No one voted for Trump because of the “Access Hollywood” tape. They voted for him because of his issues; most prominently, his promise to build “a big beautiful wall.” And who’s going to pay for it? MEXICO!

You can’t say that at every campaign rally for 18 months and then not build a wall.

Do not imagine that a Trump double-cross on the wall will not destroy the Republican Party. Oh, we’ll get them back. No, you won’t. Trump wasn’t a distraction: He was the last chance to save the GOP.

Millions of Americans who hadn’t voted in 30 years came out in 2016 to vote for Trump. If he betrays them, they’ll say, “You see? I told you. They’re all crooks.”

No excuses will work. No fiery denunciations of the courts, the Democrats or La Raza will win them back, even if Trump comes up with demeaning Twitter names for them.

It would be an epic betrayal — worse than Bush betraying voters on “no new taxes.” Worse than LBJ escalating the Vietnam War. There would be nothing like it in the history of politics.

He’s the commander in chief! He said he’d build a wall. If he can’t do that, Trump is finished, the Republican Party is finished, and the country is finished.

I think backing down now would be a fatal error to his presidency.

Empty promises that he'll address this in Sept will not work because a new excuse or threat will come up then and we'll be right here again.

Build the wall now or go home.

"put a gun to all their heads?"

No, just shut down the gov and blame it on weasels in congress. He has the means to by-pass the echo chamber and he should use it.

“It must be difficult to be President when a good chunk of your base throws tantrums over the slightest thing.”

No candidate should promise things to their voters unless they are seriously planning to deliver those things and fight hard against those obstructing!

"But somehow it’s Trump’s fault that Congress is full of backstabbing cucks"

If he doesn't get them in line then, yes, its his fault.

He is the leader of the GOP whether they like it or not and its about time for him to stop dancing to their tune or he will never get anything done.

What chance does his tax program have if he caves on this?

I'll tell you: none whatsoever.

“Well while it may sound stupid, the fact of the matter is that Ivanka and her husband both need to vacate the administration immediately.”

Nothing could be more true than this statement. They are ruining Trump’s presidency early on! NOBODY who voted for Trump thought that they were getting Ivanka and Jared Kushner as his top advisors. I have been a financial supporter of Trump from the very beginning of his candidacy and I am souring quickly. He has almost completely lost my faith in his intentions. His young family has no business being involved in policy and bringing in moderate/establishment Republicans and Democrats. It is starting to appear like a bait and switch. Please write the White House and tell President Trump he needs to move back to where he started.

You state the obvious and completely miss the point.

Well you seem to have a unique insight into Trump’s hidden inner Soros. Could you explain how you came to these conclusions?

I’m sorry, but are you claiming that America’s gonna die and getting AROUSED over that fact?

The hell is wrong with you?

I don’t think it’s that big a deal, a lot of people never expected it to be built.

In 2015, in at least a half dozen posts and comments on Free Republic, I predicted exactly what Trump would do about immigration:

He would boisterously crack down on criminal immigrants for his first few months in office.

Then, he would do absolutely nothing of consequence about the Wall, about DACA, about e-Verify, about H-1B, or about the 1.25 million new LEGAL immigrants who arrive in the USA each year.

If Trump gets reelected, he will declare Amnesty in 2021.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shaping up to look like this was an accurate prediction and my worst nightmare.
Trump WILL hold fast on this... Rome wasn’t built in a day and Trump might have to wait a few more months to start on the Wall. I don’t remember you being a big Wall backer...am I wrong on this Eli?
Plenty sober.
Sober enough to see your spiteful masturbation, and that stupid little picture of yours makes it really easy to track.
How much does Shareblue pay you per post?
Your reply #82:
I’m sorry, but are you claiming that America’s gonna die and getting AROUSED over that fact?(Emphasis in the original)
The hell is wrong with you? (Sic)
The post is incoherent at best and suggests you are either deranged or drunk. If you are not drunk my vote goes to deranged because in this post and in the next you continue your pathological preoccupation about my sex life:
Sober enough to see your spiteful masturbation, (emphasis supplied this time)
You really do need clinical help for your libido or maybe you just need to get laid.
I wish you well with either remedy, but for the sake of humanity wear a condom.
I grow tired of seeing your gleeful postings every time something doesn’t go right for the President.
And anyone with half a brain can tell how happy you are when things go wrong for Trump, so don’t try to hide it.
I’m bored of this flame war. Unlike last night where I was weary, right now I just felt like calling you out. Bye-bye, toots.
Claiming victory as he retreats from the field, waving the white flag even as he claims victory, shouting defiance as he quits.
I’ve been big on the wall and a strong supporter of Trump. My posts have been mostly related to Christian topics on FreeRepublic.
But to your larger point, I’m coming around to thinking you may be right. But the next budget must have funding for it.
Thanks Eli.. . Trump wants the Wall more than we do... and that’s a lot. He’ll fight DC elites to make it happen but it’s an uphill battle... Have faith. None of us are giving up.
