Rush is right. The dems are going to use this ploy again and again and again for as long as they can get away with it.

Also if trump doesn’t get the wall built it will be like “read my lips” all over again.

At some point, when a “government shutdown” becomes a possibility, President Trump should give a speech in which he says:

1. He does not believe in federal employees being paid for not working. They are no better than private sector employees who are “laid off” through no fault of their own. President Trump should say he will veto any measure that gives back pay to nonessential federal employees who did not work.

2. Trump should say that nonessential federal employees should apply for unemployment benefits once their employment is suspended -— just as their private-sector counterparts do in similar circumstances. He should say that if there is a “government shutdown”, it's possible that not all the “laid off” employees would be called back to work.

3. Trump should also make things such as National Parks ESSENTIAL (for the mental and economic health of the American public) and, in other ways, make the “shut down” as painless for Americans as possible. He should have his administration starting to plan for this possibility NOW so he can react quickly.

If he says that and commits to that, look how quick the ‘RAT Senators in states with substantial numbers of federal employees DECIDE TO NOT HAVE A “SHUTDOWN”. The federal employees and their unions would suddenly be on the side of “LET'S NOT HAVE A “GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN” instead of the side of “YEAH...FREE PAID VACATION FOR NOT WORKING”.

It’s just a pause on spending until we get our act together. let the courts say trump can’t do it.

I find it interesting that the Dems are threatening to shut down the government, thereby proving that they are the ones shutting it down, and yet still blame Repubs.

Even more so that they will say the Repubs made them do it and the "media" will go along, without ever hinting at how it's OK to shut down the government... depending on which side does it.
