When people think of humanity's greatest evils, why is "communism" rarely mentioned? After all, it has caused more suffering than any other ideology, including Nazism. Watch Dennis Prager's account of communism's horrific legacy.
Because to Commie leftists, its ALL about getting “Free stuff” they dont care who pays for that free stuff as long as they can get as much of it as possible
Because Leftists can’t say, ‘Nazism would have worked, but Hitler did it wrong.’ Nazism is too specific, and there’s no arguing that it could have been anything but what it was.
‘Communism,’ is a much more general, philosophical wird. Any semi-bright leftist can argue for months on end that there’s a right and a wrong way to implement communism. Thus, any horrific example is brushed aside as the wrong way. That’s how they argue.
A good leftist can speak eloquently of the lofty ideals of communism ‘done the right way.’ That same leftist understands that there’s no point in arguing that Nazism could have been ‘done the right way.’ Hitler is the sole face of Nazism, and not even leftist buffoons can argue that Hitler could—or even should—have done Nazism any differntly. Nazism was his ideal, and he did it the way he wanted to do it.
One other question I would like Prager or anyone else to answer.
Why do victims of Communism always go back to this evil ideology once it fails?
Not just Communism but any form of Collectivism?
Just look at nations like Venezuela and Argentina. Both have collapsed a number of times due to Collectivist policies and the people continue to put the same people advocating for the same policies right back into power.
Why is this twisted ideology so seductive? People under it’s influence don’t just fail to learn from the history of other failed states but from their own suffering as well.
I’d love to hear a reasonable answer to this question as well.

Because it's harder to question a religious ideology then a political one.
Part of the reason is that Political Correctness was designed by the Communists after about 1920 when they saw their agenda was being rejected. PC was designed to control the narrative and it has worked.

The Russians did the same crap before Hitler came to the forefront. The same crap with higher numbers. The same type of victims, those who were opposed to the way the government was run once they took control. Only 31% of support got the Hitler elected, the Communists probably had the same amount of support, but they over threw the government and appointed themselves. We looked the other way when it came to the USSR in WW II. We knew pretty much what was going on there, but were being diplomatic because we needed them, and they were buying lots of stuff from us. you might say if it wasn’t for Hitler and Stalin we would have not come out of our depression. FDR’s many appointments to political positions were in fact held by either closet commies or sympathizers. The Verona papers later showed that. I guess the commies are still with us?

Fascism seems to be a trip word for Communists and Liberals.
I remember my Father telling me about when they first ran into Russians outside Berlin at the end of WWII.
He said that for a couple of weeks, every time they ran into one he would immediately say in English “Death to Fascism”. The American soldiers were not too political as a rule and most of them would stare blankly.
I have noticed that on TV and the movies it is common for characters to use “Fascists” as a word of derision.
I agree with this answer. In addition the Nazi's were defeated militarily and all their crimes laid bare for all to see. No one has invaded and taken over Russia and China yet and their communists are in control of what is known about their crimes .. with the exception of those who have defected.

IMO, with each passing generation of useful idiots communism is recycled and repackaged as something new and REVOLUTIONARY. A lot like those sleazy late night infomercials pushing the same old get rich quick scams as something new and innovative. Such as buying real estate with no $$$ down. Making a killing in stocks regardless of market conditions. Selling the latest snake oil while building a downline or some other unworkable mathematically impossible MLM/pyramid racket. They’ll tell you communism/socialism failed because it was implemented wrong by the wrong people but THEY have a PROVEN SYSTEM that works! Trust them, THIS TIME IT’S DIFFERENT! George Carlin once said now matter how idiotic and outrageous the product or idea, some schmuck will buy it. Particularly the intellectual lazy ones unwilling to practice any due diligence.
They claim “wasn’t REAL Communism” but in each instance at the time they echoed the talking points (recall Mao’s little red book). And even today they weep at the passing of Castro and Chavez.
They don’t care about imperialism, civil rights, or genocide.
They are alright with using these methods to spread Communism.
