Seven bounty hunters who descended on the wrong car outside a Wal-Mart have been indicted on first-degree murder charges in the killing of an unarmed man and the wounding of another, Tennessee police announced Wednesday.

The charges come after a chaotic scene in Clarksville on April 23, where police said the bounty hunters shot at the four people in the sedan and chased them for seven miles.

Not one of the men in the sedan was wanted on outstanding charges.

"Did they know they were doing anything wrong?

Doesn't matter, they broke the rules.

Yeah but Hillary didn't know she was doing anything wrong. You can't be changed with doing something wrong if you didn't know that shooting an innocent people is against the law.

I thought there were some archaic laws that allow them to get away with this kind of stuff.

Only if they're police.

But, they may serve a Patriotic service.

Imagine if they were convinced that Chuckie the hood, Schummer was a bond jumper.

Even better imagine that in Chuckie, the hood, Schummers car was Susan Collins, Dianie Fienstien, Bernie, Hillary, and one or two more leftist thugs.

“”Not one of the men in the sedan was wanted on outstanding charges.””

And I wouldn’t expect them to, that’s not how it works. When a person gets arrested and jailed they have two options, sit it out in jail until their court date or post bond. The bond is a guarantee that the individual will appear on the designated date, failure to appear means forfeiture of the money posted. You have two options on posting bond. Pay it yourself which requires you post the complete amount or go to a bondsman and pay them a percentage of the bond and they post the bond and basically your released into their custody. If you fail to appear then they’re on the hook for the full amount. The bondsman can at anytime go off bond if they feel the individual is going to skip town or not appear. To do this they have to return that individual back into the custody of the court/law enforcement/jail. Once the bond is posted there are no active warrants issued unless you fail to appear for court. So the claim that neither of the men were wanted is meaningless. If either of those men had been arrested and a bondsman had posted bond and feared a no show, then the bondsman has a right to pick them up or have them picked up and returned back into custody and remove the bond. It’s a strange business and gets even stranger when the bounty hunters are called in but it is what it is. States have a rigid set of guidelines for bondsman and bounty hunters to operate by, some are not allowed to carry lethal weapons, not sure in this case. Many time law enforcement is called in as a back up to eliminate this type of problem and for good reason. As an ex Sheriff’s deputy I’ll only say we hated backing up bounty hunters but it does lessen the chance of somebody getting hurt.

I might be wrong, but this does not look like a group of highly-trained geniuses, to me. If one of them had an AD in the excitement, the others would most likely light off as well in chain reaction.

Even one-sided firefights start with a first shot. The AD scenario is why you really don’t want to go in harm’s way with people you haven’t trained with, preferably extensively.

Whatever.

Bring back the death penalty. The seven should hang!

That would be peachy.

But hang the seven nevertheless. Murder I is not acceptable!

“”Only if they’re police.””

That is not true. If a bondsman fears the individual will not appear then they have the right to return that person back into custody and withdraw the bond. The police only have the right to arrest that individual if a warrant is issued for their arrest, in this case it would be failure to appear. Had any of these people been bonded out there would be no active warrant unless they were a no show.

This is murder. Bounty hunters have no special privileges. Jail for life for the lot of them.

I agree and was not defending any of them, just explaining how it works. Rule number one in bounty hunting 101 is make sure you have the right person.

“But they had good intentions, so the FBI will give them a pass (Hillary rule).”

Yep, the prosecutors here simply couldn’t prove that they were aware of the fact that it’s illegal to run down and kill innocent people.

Yep, Comey belongs in the Snake Oil business.

Only some?

The victim was fleeing an illegal pursuit in fear of his life.

An accidental discharge (assuming what "AD" means) should have awakened the pursuers to hit the brakes and hope they'd missed.

They probably only have to find out that one of them said something that sound like “nigger” once or displayed an American flag where a wetback could see it.

And well they should be. They are too stupid to be allowed to be running around carrying a loaded pistol. Things such as this shows what happens when gunpowder and idiots collide.
