It’s fine to support President Trump. I hope he does finally repeal Obamacare, as he promised. And that he sees to it that the wall is built.

But to adore everything he says and does, as though he is a faultless Messiah, is just kinda strange. It’s fine to question what our elected officials say and do, to hold them accountable. To worship without evaluation is absurd.

To worship without evaluation is absurd.

***

To insult without evaluation is equally absurd.

I’ve said many times on this forum that I don’t like this bill but that it’s probably the best we can get out of Congress at this time.

The alternative is that Obamacare remains and Americans suffer still more, since votes to repeal are simply not present.

And yet the returning invasion of the never-Trumpers, many of whom I recognize as zot victims revived, are treating this as some kind of epic betrayal and are gleeful, GLEEFUL about it. They are desperate to say ‘I told you so’ and are willing to twist everything that is not perfection into some kind of wicked and evil plan on the part of the President.

And that is what’s absurd.

So you’ll forgive me if I throw their insults back in their collective faces, because this isn’t principled or conservatism; this is nothing more than petty and shallow revenge.
