well all that sounds like it isn’t’ a good situation. When the GI tract is messed up, the pleasure in eating is surely diminished.
Neither surgery or meds are on my lists of wants and so I avoid them !!!
And yo are right on the age thing. Most of us took very much for granted the good health we had as youngsters and young adults. Slowly as things went bad we DID appreciate and understand.

This is SO true!
Just got my test reports back. My test came back grossly abnormal. It’s surgery for sure. The doctor told me I could live on nothing but bread and milk and still would suffer severe reflux. They referred me to a surgeon who I call this morning. At least we are getting this fixed and unlike Obama’s healthcare ideas, I won’t have to live on pain pills! (Remember that episode from his first Presidential campaign?)
