The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal to reinstate North Carolina's voter identification law that a lower court said targeted African Americans "with almost surgical precision."
The justices on Monday left in place the lower court ruling striking down the law's photo ID requirement and reduction in early voting.

They claim that the law “targeted African Americans ‘with almost surgical precision’” but cannot produce a single such African American who was denied the vote or the ability to become eligible.
Do we have idiots arguing FOR voter I.D. laws, or is this just a matter of liberal idiots on the bench?
IF requiring an ID to vote is “racist”, then why isn’t requiring an ID to buy a gun “racist”?
Every gun control law in the country should be challenged on the same basis.
So, who decided not to take this case? This is not a Conservative decision. Voter ID Laws are to ensure that the legal vote of citizens is protected against the voting of those who don’t have the RIGHT to vote.
So .. It kept in place the early vote rules and the voter ID requirements. ?

True that. Gonna be a whole lotta fraud going on just like with the voting. Is this Supreme Court stupid or something? Of course voters need to show an ID; it's just common sense which this Supreme Court seems to lack.
It’s likely the new fake Foxnews making a sensational headline out of much ado about nothing.
The US Supreme Court refused to put it on schedule for hearing. There was no ruling.
The US Supreme Court cannot possibly hear every case that is filed in its court. The clerks will schedule the most pressing cases.
There are other Voter ID cases coming. All the cases can be bundled and heard at once. Also, there will be significant impacts from the coming Presidential Panel on election integrity.
There is a large voter reform coming. The President has already ordered a panel for election integrity. The findings and recommendations of this panel will result in an election reform Act.
But first, the Trump Administration needs to finish draining the Swamp to set the stage for all the coming reforms.
This is an important case and should be heard.
