I have been to 20 Mexican states, in all regions of mexico. I have never ever even once seen an american style burrito. Things not part of mexican pallet

1) Flour Tortillas - I think flour tortillas are considered sacrilegious in Mexico - especially large tortillas
2) Cheddar Cheese - If Cheese is used at all, it is generally goat cheese.
3) Shredded lettuce, just not used...closest is shredded cabbage for seafood tacos, or straight up cilantro
4) Sour Cream, just not used anywhere
5) I can keep going

But those oh-so-authentic breakfast burritos with French fries and avocados nestled in there with the other ingredients are a time-honored meheecan tradicion from before the birth of Guadalupe Hidalgo. We must hespect their esacred culture-o.

Back in the 1960's, you would not find burritos when you crossed the Colorado River into Arizona. In the Copper State, they were called burros, and some restaurants in Arizona still use that term.
