The Allman Bros. played my high school graduation dance (Lakeside High, DeKalb County Ga. 1970)....probably their last small gig before hitting the big time nationally.
Brother Duane was the best guitarist I ever saw.
Not a huge surprise. Greg has been in poor health since the Bush Administration, the second Bush.

I had a beer with Gregg Allman one time many many moons ago.
We talked for about 15 minutes between sets. I can’t recall what? Haha!
Although I do remember he did not act all high and mighty. It was like I was talking to a neighbor.
God rest you Greg. You’ve given me many road miles of good tunage, and your passing makes me feel a little older and and little more alone.
Amen. They were one hell of a band.
