FULL TITLE - Very Fake News: CNN Chief Jeff Zucker Takes Reins of Investigation into Retracted Russia Conspiracy Story
The “very fake news” scandal that is engulfing CNN inside and outside the left-wing network now reaches its highest levels as even CNN president Jeff Zucker is personally involved in the internal investigation into a now-retracted hit piece, sources inside CNN with direct knowledge confirmed to Breitbart News.
Meanwhile, Senate Democrats find themselves on the hot seat as insiders point to leftist staff for members like Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Kamala Harris (D-CA) as being responsible for the thinly-sourced hit piece. Staff for Harris deny any involvement, but Warren staff have not responded.
These new revelations come on the heels of a BuzzFeed News report citing internal sources at CNN calling the decision to print the “very fake news” hit piece on President Donald Trump and his associates that inaccurately alleged they were under Senate and Treasury investigation—a piece a Breitbart News investigation forced CNN to retract—a “massive, massive fuck up.” BuzzFeed’s Jon Passantino reported that CNN sources told him that Zucker is “directly involved” in the matter now, as is the head of HR at CNN, and that “people will be disciplined.”

What a joke Zucker and that whole network have become. I never agreed with CNN’s editorial agenda; but it was at least a professional organization for several years and paved the way for other news networks of its kind. It is now a pathetic shell of whatever it used to be and I can’t help taking some joy in watching it self-destruct.

Why do they even mention “journalistic ethics” in this story? Seems way out of context, when speaking of CNN.

I lived and worked in Communist countries. everything in the media in those places was a highly manufactured narrative supporting a specific political campaign. Intelligent people in those countries learned to read between the lines and discern the propaganda from any possible facts presented.
The American main-stream media now is no different.
What is this telling us? That the “Russia-gate” campaign is over. The Left and anti-trumpers will withdraw from this battle, and prepare for their next attack elsewhere.
We can now add "Journalistic Ethics" to our lexicon of oxymorons, alongside "Military Intelligence"
Yes, those people in the former Communist countries knew that they were lied to. The problem here is that a lot of CNN and other MSM consumers have no idea they’re lied to. Tried to show a CNN watching friend a video with a different view. Didn’t want to see it. Mind you, I have other highly educated low-information voter friends. I stay away from political discussions. You can lead a horse to water, etc.
This thing is destroying everything/one it touches.

CNN was a breath of fresh air. They were 'Fair and Balanced' in their coverage when put up next to the big three network's Easterner Elite Liberal Slant on any and all news from ABC, CBS and NBC.
When looked at it today, they were no Roger Ailes' Fox News by any stretch of the imagination but they did give both sides in a more or less objective way that journalism was supposed to be--
AND they had Kathleen Sullivan!
She was the first News...

I wish he would take another road and throw a huge lawsuit at Zucker and the CNN network for slander, libel, whatever.
The lies about him that these news-fakers threw out to the public will forever cling to him like lint despite any apologies....and will certainly always have a clouding effect on his future political and business careers.
As Robert Burns said (and as Scaramucci SHOULD have said)...."Oh, ye take the high road, and I'll take the low road...and I'll be in court-land a'fore ye....."
