Well, what I don’t understand is the story of the Steele dossier. It was obtained from working with foreign entities. What’s the definition of adversary? Certainly not all in Ukraine are on our side. Why aren’t DNC personnel and McCain under more scrutiny? This information has been widely known and verified for some time.

Repeat the term “collusion” often enough, and the residual effects of this repetition is for it to stick in people’s minds.

Reality is not allowed to intrude. The meme becomes “Trump = collusion”, further proof not necessary.

How, exactly, was a Trump victory supposed to benefit the Russians to a greater degree than a Hillary victory? EVERYTHING was going their way so long as the Obama-Clinton machine remained in power. The Trump presidency has already been a powerful headwind for the Russian Federation and its attempt to assume world leadership, and the pushback is only going to get stronger. The Russians have already done a number of course corrections, and they may not be able to recover their former progress and momentum.

Russians might not be dominated by the precepts of Communism any longer, but they are still Russians. And as such, they are always destined to be rivals of the United States. Whether as uneasy allies or unrelenting opponents, is pretty much predicated on how strong the US becomes and remains.

A strong America forces their grudging respect. A weak America brings out the bully aspect of the Russian psyche, and they proceed to become adamant and overbearing.

Except his own email says “I love it” in response to the offer of dirt on the Clintons, which of course was followed by the meeting that took place for the very purpose of getting that dirt.

Where is the illegality? This is opposition research.

-- This will be a problem given then language in the email about the Russian government wanting to support Trump. Admittedly, it is thru an intermediary, but the Dems will jump on it big time. --

Trump's political opponents have to cherry pick the offer though. The offer "from the Russians" is to show how the Russians have been illegally giving assistance to Hillary. The offer is for hard evidence of that accusation.

The substance of the offer has to be disappeared, because the substance of the offer and the claim that "Russia wants to help Trump" are at odds.

Imagine if there is a parallel offer to Camp Hillary - to produce evidence that Team Trump is buying the services of the GRU to run bots in favor of the Trump campaign. Is Hillary colluding with the Russians if she asks to see the evidence?

The original email sounds lame, like it was written by a Nigerian. “We have sensitive information that will benefit your campaign. Please send us $5,000 in bitcoin”

That Nigerian eMail concept was such great food for thought.

Great conceptual comment...

From the email: This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump....

I realize that this is the characterization of Goldstone, but it raises many questions. Donald Jr. should never have had this meeting under the circumstances. Goldstone will now become the center of this controversy. And Don Jr. will be asked if he ever informed his father about it.

They hold the superior position of "inquisitor," and the inquisitor does not have to answer.

He is the Russian publicist who got to know the Trump’s during the Ms Universe contest that was held in Moscow in 2013. He is a personal friend/acquaintance of Don Jr. He is also a noted Russofile with business dealings in Russia.

Grassley: But even after Mr. Comey told the Gang of Eight that the President was not under investigation, the Minority Leader told the media he was. That helped feed the media hysteria.

Is Baghdad Bob advising the anti-Trump camp?

How? If the Russians had damaging information on Hillary and want to give it to Trump, how is that at odds with wanting to help Trump?

The damaging information is apparently about Russian collusion with Hillary. The Russians allegedly wanted to help Trump in June 2016, but not before then.

That's a fact. Reminds me of a scene from Billions about allegations. Apologies if the language offends anyone's sensibilities.

The only thing....a hard stance that they’ve had zero discussions with Russian’s, now looks bad. That said, this really amounts to nothing more than “man talks to Russian woman”, the horror of it all!!

They’re saying she *was* married to some Russian transportation deputy. OOOOOK. Of course the fake “dossier” that the DNC received from foreigners is ok.

The left is making it out to be that “collusion” is somehow illegal and a major crime. How? Are they implying it’s treason? If so, saying that meeting somebody that is Russian, on American soil, amounts to treason is absurd. ...seems to be their argument though. The morons at HuffPo are asking why Mueller hasn’t charged him yet!!

So how about the Killary emails sent to the Russians, when she was secretary of state, closing the deal on selling them Uranium?

“Dems will jump on it big time”

That’s a good thing. The Russia conspiracy road leads to nowhere.
