That’s why you see all these commercials for opioid related constipation you didn’t see on TV 10 years ago. That’s why I tend to think that it must really be bad out there and not some overblown fake thing.

I don’t know what the solution is. But for sure the cartels digs that we save a % of their consumers from their product killing them so they can potentially buy the product again. A good wacky conspiracy theory would connect overdose medication research funding to drug cartel cash.

I asked my doctor if taking opioids might be somehow interfering with magnesium in the body and he gave me a funny look like he had never thought of that. Magnesium is what keeps the muscles operating and when it is interfered with the bowels are not going to work properly. Thus, constipation IS going to be a problem. The heart muscle would also have problems if that is the case.

Opioid Heart Problems:

Taking a high level of the drug can cause organ failure, strokes, heart attacks, and death if it is not treated immediately. The longer treatment waits, the more likely an overdose will kill the user. Beyond the risk of overdosing, the regular abuse of opiates can cause changes in the body.

Magnesium depletion.
