George W. Bush and Bill Clinton sounded more like a Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin at the Presidential Leadership Scholars conference in Dallas.

The two former Presidents poked fun at each in the light-hearted appearance Thursday at the George W. Bush Presidential Center.

“Why do I have a friendship with him?” Bush said when asked about his relationship with Clinton.

We were lucky to have the senior Bush when the Berlin wall went down. Think of all the Russian nukes if BJ had been in office. The 2nd Bush on 911? We needed a winner in 2000. The 1st Bush was at least held in high enough esteem for the GOP establishment to pick W. Remember, the alternative was McCain.

I was one of the most dedicated and passionate supporters of George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush--worked hard for both of them. I respected the Bush Family very highly. I spoke of them with deep and profound respect here on Free Republic and elsewhere. I even nominated George W. Bush for Mt. Rushmore, and praised Jeb and his son, George P. Bush, as future Presidents of the USA, for whom I had every intention of supporting--fully, with enthusiasm, with excitement, and with hard work.

I became disillusioned when I realized that George W. Bush had no intention of halting illegal immigration and protecting the integrity of U.S. borders--in violation of his Oath of Office AND his responsibility to enforce US law.

He completely lost my support when he spent more of the American workers' hard earned money than any President since Lyndon Johnson.

When Barbara Bush made snide, catty, and stupid remarks about Sarah Palin, I realized that the Bushes were not nearly the admirable people I had thought, and I lost respect for them.

When I saw how cozy the Bushes were with the Clinton Crime machine, I lost all respect for them.

And since I witnessed their contemptible behavior toward Donald Trump, I have had nothing but contempt for them.
