It is a measure of the anti-Trump media’s stupidity and malpractice that the phrase “breaking news” now elicits eye rolls. The media’s “breaking news” about Trump is rarely breaking or news. It is usually recycled and old — some stale piece of information, relating to a practice both parties long ago adopted, that is sensationalized and dished up as novel. Into this category falls much of its breathless “Trump-Russia” coverage, including its all-hands-on-deck stories about Donald Trump Jr.
“It is called opposition research,” said President Trump on Thursday at a press conference in Paris in defense of his son.
From the hair-on-fire hysterics of the Democrats and their patrons in the press, one would think they had never taken a meeting with a foreigner or searched for dirt on a political rival. Of course, they have — and never more so than during their quest to torpedo Trump’s candidacy. What was the “Steele dossier” fiasco but a Dem/media attempt to collude with Brits to stop Trump?
Had BuzzFeed not released the contents of that transparently ridiculous and bogus dossier, the self-appointed ruling class would still be talking about it. Lightweights in the press, straining to sound deep, will recite such quotes as “the bigger the lie, the more it will be believed,” even as their coverage rests upon the biggest lie of all: the assertion of imaginary Trump-Russia criminal collusion based on nothing more than false, fragmentary leads that came from their own collusion with foreign powers.
Just a few months ago, the sunshine patriots of the press were extolling John Brennan and Susan Rice for spying on Americans on the basis of “tips” that they had received from Estonia, Sweden, and Great Britain, foreign powers that were gunning for Trump’s defeat.

By my definition it is truly “broke”.
In the health club, I no longer change the channel on one of their long line of TV’s to Fox News like I used to. I turn on AMC or TBS or TNT to watch some mindless movie. Can’t take the news at all anymore. Don’t know, don’t care.
It is called the “drumbeat”.
Tease an item as breaking news. Review what has already been broadcast and then add the breaking news, usually some innocuous new fact.
The whole point is to keep the story on the “front page”.
It is SOP for the Left Media Cartel.
The Democrat politicians just take orders from the leftist media. This is a refusal to accept American self-government. The people involved are looking to destroy our way of life and our nation.
Main street media is all about ‘entertaining’ the masses with whatever ‘junk and smut’ THEY PRODUCE to sell...including making their journalists and reporters the story itself. Much of it wash and repeat and this not to discover the truth rather to keep the story going for ratings they seek.......Our media has become nothing but embarrassing sound bits at best....and overall nonsense.

We pulled the plug on the fake news from ABCNNBCBS going on 2 decades ago.
We pulled the plug on Faux news last year when Kelly and her thugs planned to lynch Trump in the debate he cancelled.
In January this year, we pulled the plug on any so called local news due to their local Anti Trump attacks combined with their mother ship attacks on Trump and President Trump.
Now instead of sitting in our family room wanting to hurl items at our tv's fake news, the tv is off.
Our news comes from Free Republic and a couple of other conservative on line news sources. My Acer Chromebook links us to the above. Nixle sends us texts re police and fire department actions. We get very accurate and local weather from Wunderground weather.
We officially cut our Comcast cable in late June, and we have not watched any local or national fake news.
We need more braking on Fake News.

They turned up after the statute of limitations had expired. They were evidence of the very same crime that Webb Hubbell went to prison for.

This progressive attack on Trump and other Americans has gone too far. In both articles and commentary in the Washington Post, they are openly advocating taking to vote from Trump voters but many want to keep “them” from breeding. Not hyperbole anymore. Their overthrow of the right is underway.

It is purposeful visual propaganda and it’s working. Most places that air CNN offer no sound. So for the casual passerby walking through an airport or sitting in a waiting room, it is brainwashing 101.
Trump’s disapproval numbers are based on personality, not deeds. Ask anyone why they hate Trump and the answer is about character. The media have been shoveling this crap because they cannot fault the deeds, just the man.

We haven’t watched network news in years.
We record the local news and fastforward through the “our Washington correspondent” reports, the health reports that begin, “recent studies suggest” and commercials. We also fast forward through weather “team coverage” whenever a cloud appears.
Any information I need, I get from Freerepublic and Townhall.
