The question is would the senate confirm a new AG if sessions stepped down?
I try to talk myself down by telling myself all this Deep State allowed to walk in the front door for big positions is for the purpose of watching them to discover more Deep State.
Kinda sick of making excuses for why these zips are inside the wire with us.
Without Sen. Sessions, Trump is toast. Absolute, “Elizabeth, I’m coming for you honey” ala Redd Foxx, toast. There are plenty of individuals deserving of the president’s ire, Sessions is not one of them.

I believe you are on the correct path. Sessions is getting ready to leave. Meanwhile susan Rice, DWS & Huma all have matters which are pressing to the forefront. Looks like all hell will break loose and then Trump gives great deals to the Dems. He has no desire to fight Hillary and/or fight back. He could have shut her down on 1-20-17 and has made no effort to do so.
You are kidding right? Rosenstein is the snake that set it all up.
True, Sessions and Bannon and maybe a very few more are about the only members of the cabinet and primary WH advisors who fully support the issues that got Trump elected. Not a good situation when so many in key positions oppose his agenda.
I know that I did and I held those creatures in as much contempt as I thought possible.
Sorry, but effective posters don't drop articles then follow up by saying a bunch of stupid s*** in the comments.
It makes them sound like concern trolls.
Trump takes crap from them no matter what he does, so he may as well get Sessions to put a stop to this BS.
Trump is bad situation, probably a lot of that has to do with the fact that only 23% of his nominees have made it through the Senate vs 69% of Obama’s during the same time period. What on earth is wrong with the Senate??
Then he needs to unrecuse himself, grow a set of balls and fire Mueller.
Mueller is operating on the show me the man I will show you the crime Stalin approach to investigation.
Meanwhile, Sessions just issued a statement which in essence says he is not going anywhere. The man is more dense then I thought and may just leave Trump with no excuse but to fire him for being a dope: A”ttorney General Jeff Sessions said Thursday that he plans to stay in his job despite the presidents public assertion that he would not have nominated Sessions to the post had he known that he would recuse himself from the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Sessions said he had the honor of serving as attorney general, and he planned to continue to do so as long as that is appropriate. Asked how he could keep working, having apparently lost President Trumps confidence, Sessions responded: Were serving right now. The work were doing today is the kind of work that we intend to continue.”
I did not know that DARE was on the Trump agenda but perhaps Sessions is a mind reader. Ball lost in the tall weeds would describe his work these days.
Now that would be a good day!
“You are kidding right? Rosenstein is the snake that set it all up.”
Sessions appointed Rosenstein and then steps down for some arcane ‘conflict of interest’ excuse.
This whole dog and pony show of a special counsel to ‘investigate Trump’ was orchestrated from the get-go.
Sessions is a mole. The DOJ needs to be gutted.
Not quite and firing Mueller and his crew will solve a lot of problems. DJT only needs to appoint someone to Justice Dept who will do this. You will find thousands of volunteers and ones with law degrees too.
There are loads of 60 and 70 year old CONSERVATIVE lawyers (many retired or semi-retired) who would love a Justice Dept appointment for the glory of firing Robert Mueller and his crew. No big deal at all.
I don’t know why he spoke to the NYT about all this, but now Mueller announces he IS going after Trump’s personal finances.
The snakes are everywhere, and they don't have loyalty to anyone or anything.
I think he truly believed that there were many who held the good of the people as their "job one."
Well, I can't wait for him to bring out the chainsaw.
