If you remember, my tag-line said, "Jeff Sessions For President" well before Trump was mentioned as a presidential candidate.
To speak so disrespectful of someone who has been so loyal in their support, crosses the line.
If Trump starts 'turning on his strongest supporters', he'll be doing exactly what the Democrats want.
If I were Sessions, I would resign. Maybe not, if Trump apologizes.
Sessions hung him out to dry on the Russia bullshit. Period
he recused himself because of the media based on fake news! he is too cordial to be AG Trump needs a shark
Sessions has already said he isn’t going to resign. That tells me the whole charade was staged for a reason that may not be clear. Yet.
Business is business. Loyalty only goes so far
Sessions F Up by recusing himself. Where are the multiple investigations of the Clintons, Foundation, Obama, Rice, Comey and the Deep State?
You fight fire with fire with these bastards. Even I know that
However, Trump is about 90% correct in his analysis of the situation.
Following Sessions’ recusal over a non-scandal with zero evidence, Rosenstein panicked after Comey’s firing and appointed a special counsel, again over a non-existent scandal.
Had Rosenstein not panicked, within a couple of weeks people began to realize how improperly Comey was behaving. Likewise the Comey/ Mueller connection came to light.
These people did not serve the president or the country well.
If I were Sessions, I would resign.
What has he done, other than take 10 seconds to pronounce the words “I recuse myself” (or whatever the exact words were)?
His total inaction in office makes Obama look like a positive dynamo of daily activity.
If you remember, my tag-line said, "Jeff Sessions For President" well before Trump was mentioned as a presidential candidate.Yea given his outstanding job as Trumps AG, who could argue with you? < /sarcasm >To speak so disrespectful of someone who has been so loyal in their support, crosses the line.
Sessions should resign. As for the Never-Trumper Stirewalt, he can go to hell.
I like Sessions too but he made two blunders on recusing himself on the Hillary investigation and the “Russia” investigation without discussing it with Trump. The Russia investigation has expanded into Trump’s business deals. Unless Sessions reels in or fires Mueller he should go.
This is just Trump releasing the daily cage of rabbits for the media to chase. If he was really angry Sessions would be gone. This is theater.
I agree with you 100%. The little offenses are starting to pile up. I was no hot-forJeff kind of guy, but it’s about basic leadership and respect. By dumping on him so publicly you are forcing him to resign, and that has got to be making everyone a little antsy.
I cannot imagine Mattis putting up with that crap very long.
Sessions should have never taken the job. He should have Trump’s back...when he removed himself from the Russian/Hillary investigation (at the request of the Clown from Minn) he no longer had Trump’s back.
Sessions is totally impotent...unless there is some behind the scenes action that has not yet become public.
Trump should fire Sessions yesterday.
Sorry, but I believe President Trump didn’t say anything in that interview that he hadn’t already said to Sessions in person.
Sessions testified before Congress that he knew before he was confirmed that he would have to recuse himself from the Russia investigations should he become AG. Unfortunately for everyone he neglected to inform Trump about this beforehand. It was a major screw-up.
NeverTrumper Stirewalt missing Me-GYN Kelly.
Sessions is a big man, he can take it.
Heck, I hope Sessions resigns for encouraging & supporting civil asset forfeiture i.e government theft.
Sessions was perhaps among the earliest and ardent public official supporters of Trump.
Since then he has been a major disappointment. I do not expect him to defend Trump in his current position, but it would be helpful if he would not turn his back. Just find the truth and not run and hide when the heat gets turned up. Sessions is an honest government employee. While that quality is now rare in public service it is not enough to occupy the position he has assumed—some backbone would be nice. But at least he is not Lynch.
I think Sessions didn’t want a conflict of interest appear. Would have been better to inform Trump, and waited until they could have replaced Rosenstein before recusal. But what’s done is done. I’m sure Sessions has been told by Trump what he thinks, so I don’t know what his reasoning is in telling the NYT.
Second, let's hope Sessions takes your advice and resigns. He is not doing the job. It's his fault this whole investigation nonsense has gotten to this point.
My 2 cents
