In the video, which was published by the Florida Today newspaper Thursday, the teens can be heard laughing at Dunn as he splashes futilely in the water and screams for help.
"Get out the water, you gonna die," yells one, while another yells, "ain’t nobody fixing to help you, you dumb (expletive)." As Dunn disappears under the water, one of the teens says, "Oh, he just died."

You bought into a leftwing hit piece designed to lionize a habitual felon, and you make it clear that you are having none of that exposition which shows he was a poor victim in the way fellow Floridian Travon Martin was, and so you want these teens punished to show your righteousness in the same way the founders of #blacklivesmatter wanted George Zimmerman punished...thereby showing their righteousness.

And what specifically are you referencing? If, that is, you are referencing some specific event.
It is not the fact that he merely had a criminal record. It is the fact that his criminal record revolved around physically battering people.
Yeah, yeah, you make it clear that you can't perceive that there might conceivably be a difference between assaulting people and being a prostitute or a shoplifter. You probably didn't grow up with violence that left you with physical consequences the rest of your life, so all of this is merely academic to you.
But Money Dunn's violence did affect the people around him, who didn't get to live your charmed life. ..because he took that option away from them.

And, as a complete stranger to you, you would know he was a "gangbanger" exactly how? as he flails around in the water. Because he has tats? Because he's black?
I wouldn't ask you to jump in the water and try to bring him to safety, but would at least pick up your cell phone and call 911 so others could? Or would you laugh at him as he drowned?
And, by the way, there are plenty of former gangbangers (many with tats) who are now actively involved in Christian Ministry trying to prevent others from following their former path.

I am suggesting the level condemnation they are receiving on this thread isn't righteousness or anything like it. It is self serving egotism.
I am saying the kids actions don't rise to the level of retribution being called for on this thread (which has the lynch mob here furious - they want them some old testament punishment ) and that the article was written in such a way as to portray a violent underworld character as some harmless Forrest Gump.
I didn't just take this position out of the blue.
Dunn's picture looked like a mugshot.
Out of curiosity I began an internet search to see if it was.
This lead to the discovery that he has had a lot of mugshots, and that he was a violent man when he was alive.
He should have been locked up for a long time.
But the door kept revolving.
He won't be back on the street again.
It's all very nice to wish that he had come to Christ.
But to punish teenagers who dealt with the real person (as opposed to the wished for saint not in evidence ) as harshly as people on this thread are calling for while lionizing the guy is inappropriate.
Is that the guy who drowned?

I do not think there is any legal obligation to help anyone or even to seek help for anyone. Some states, notably Texas, have laws *permitting* the use of force in defense of another, but that’s about it.
And as for calling 911, well look what happened to that nice white lady who called in nice white MN? The Muslim cop shows up and pumps her full of lead.
