Trump State Dept Unsure Why Palestinian Terrorists Kill Israelis
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 7/21/17 | Adam Kredo

Posted on 07/22/2017 9:35:50 AM PDT by Freedom56v2

Officials in the Trump administration's State Department are standing by a recent report criticized by Congress that blamed Israel for terror attacks and claimed Palestinians rarely incite violence, telling the Washington Free Beacon that it remains unclear why terrorists engage in violent acts.

Rep. Peter Roskam (R., Ill.), co-chair of the House Republican Israel Caucus, criticized the State Department Thursday for releasing a report portraying Israel as the culprit in terrorism and downplaying Palestinian incitement of violent acts against the Jewish state, the Free Beacon first reported.

Roskam demanded the State Department alter its report to bring it more in line with what he believes are the facts on the ground—that Palestinian leaders routinely incite violence against Israel, which has been forced to defend itself against a growing wave of terror attacks on Jewish citizens.

A State Department official, speaking on background, defended the report's conclusions and said that it cannot precisely pinpoint the motivations behind Palestinian terror attacks on Israel.

"We recognize that in any community, a combination of risk factors can come together to create a higher risk of radicalization to violence," the official said. "There is no one single pathway to violence—each individual's path to terrorism is personalized, with certain commonalities. Therefore, it is difficult to pinpoint precisely what the sources of radicalization to violence are. What could drive someone to violence in one instance could vary significantly with someone else who is similarly situated."

The State Department's response prompted a fierce backlash among U.S. officials and Trump administration insiders, who said the State Department under the leadership of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has gone rogue and is out of line with the White House's position on a range of sensitive diplomatic issues, including the Israeli-Palestinian impasse.

You remember the kids who were popular and political in high school and college, but were so dumb that the operation of a wedge was beyond them?

Yup, those who couldn’t write or look good in front of a camera went to the State Department right after throwing their parent’s money into the sewer going to an ivy league school.

When it comes to the State Department, up to a point you may be able to fix bias and corruption but when it comes to ignorance and being outright dumb an old adage come to mind “You just can’t fix stupid”

Or prosecuted as an agent of Islam.

And how does a report like this get released with a supposedly, strong competent leader like Tillerson in charge?

Is he the captain of the ship or is he just a figurehead?

Was he sleeping at the helm without a clue as to what his department is up to?

It seems that the president has another department head who does not perform up to the level of his advance billing.

Tillerson needs to explain to the president how an embarrassing report like this could be written and released under his management.

And how he will prevent the State Department from embarrassing the president in the future.

Tillerson believes in modrate muslims so is it any wonder that problems in the ME are the Israelis fault?

Heather Nauert, former near brain dead FOX hostest/new reader/now near brain dead State Deptment spokes gal.

Good that came out of the shooting is Israel gained control of the 7th century tourist attraction at the Temple Mount from the Jordanian Waqf.

For those who have recently become concerned with Israel and the Palestinians, they have been taught by the left media that the Palestinians have been robbed of their land and Israel is the big bad country that should give up more and more land to those poor people.

First, Palestinians have been invented .. there were no “Palestinians” who owned any land. Arafat was offered all he wanted (by bill clinton) and he refused. They don’t want any land .. they want Israel destroyed and never seen or heard from again. Israel has given those people more than they should have... Israel has such a tiny piece of land on which they live and let arabs live there also. Those who do not know Biblical history and what Israel is, believe the people and nations have been mistreated by Israel. The opposite is true.

Israel is prepared.. when obama turned on them it left no one who was on their side with any back up or understanding of the problems they have to live with every day. We have been their friend.. I hope we are once again under Trump. I believe it’s vital to our own success as a nation.

In case you missed it, Tillerson has spoken several times to the Council on Foreign Relations and assured them the he shares their views. The CFR runs the State Department.

BTW, p. 193 of the document says this:

“Continued drivers of violence included a lack of hope in achieving Palestinian statehood, Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank, settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, the perception that the Israeli government was changing the status quo on the Haram
Al Sharif/Temple Mount, and IDF tactics that the Palestinians considered overly aggressive.”

Just like 9-11 was America’s fault, because Muslims are peaceful unless undeservedly provoked.

Fire them. Fire them ALL.

Another solution. Take those State department officials to Palestinian land. Place Star of David emblems on them, and have them walk through the Palestinian areas and towns. Let them take note of how the Palestinians "rarely" commit violent acts. They'll be lucky if they're merely stoned by kids (which happens daily to Jews). Palestinian muslim arabs only know rabid hatred and the desire to inflict pain and death on Jews.

I have trouble believing that all of us on FR know what motivates the Palestinians, but the State Dept. doesn’t.

It boils down to this. Wherever they are in the world, they simply look for the nearest infidel. That theory works most of the time. “The nearest infidel” is a phrase I read about 5 years ago and it really stuck in my head.
