Took months, but its finally understood: China is and always has been the problem.
If Red China isn’t hit hard with sanctions FAST we are going to be pushed into a war with them, possibly nuclear if we invade Commie territory to the north.
They need to know the USA is damn serious-economic war is the only thing that will prevent a hot war.imo
otherwise, china is right- that the US is all talk/bluff.
When the history books are written on the Trump presidency:
Trumps first 6 months in year 1 of the first term will be viewed a testing time....figuring out who is against him.
And the second 6 months in preparing for war on enemies abroad and domestic.
Yup, Trump should deny all Chinese container ships the right to unload at US ports.
Do it tomorrow morning.
Announce on Twitter that it will end when Kim and the NK nuke threat is GONE.
Bring India’s leaders over for a powow and hold a press conference and make it plain we want to shift our imports from China to India and will assist them in preparing for this enormous windfall.
Announce that we are going to arm Japan, SK and Taiwan with nuclear missiles if NK continues on their current path.
You are justified to do almost anything to avoid WW3.
There will be hardships for a few years as prices on many goods increase but I’d rather do business with India!

I think Trump knew very well, before he was elected. He raised the issue many times during the campaign. His grand daughter has been being taught Chinese for years.
His selection of Wilbur Ross and Peter Navarro indicate that he has been focused on ending the exploitative trade arrangement between the USA and Communist China, that is the root of both America’s relative economic decline, and Communist China’s growing military power and aggressiveness.
It took six months to do the prudent preliminaries - give them a chance to reform, and coordinate plans with key players (major business leaders and international allies). I am guessing that August is showtime.
