Climate Alarmists Celebrate ‘Earth Overshoot Day’ Decrying Humans’ Exploitation of Planet

On Wednesday the global environmentalist movement commemorated “Earth Overshoot Day,” which marks the moment when the world population has supposedly consumed all the earth’s resources allocated for the year—fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, water and wood—and so began to “overexploit” the planet.

Each year, an environmental advocacy group called the Global Footprint Network (GFN) calculates the day when the year’s available resources run out and mankind begins overconsuming nature. In the year 2000, “Earth Overshoot Day” was celebrated at the end of September, in 2016 it struck on August 8, and now, in 2017, it has moved six days earlier, to August 2.

“We use more ecological resources and services than nature can regenerate through overfishing, overharvesting forests and emitting more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than forests can sequester,” the group exclaims on its website.

“By August 2, 2017, we will have used more from nature than our planet can renew in the whole year,” GFN announced.

And yet, there you are NOT doing the ultimate sacrifice for the good of muvver erf and removing yourselves from the equation. Walk the talk assclowns. Proof once again that "obtaining" a PhD doesn't always equate to actually knowing anything. (Who decides who the "experts" are that review a doctoral thesis anyway?)

“By August 2, 2017, we will have used more from nature than our planet can renew in the whole year,” GFN announced....

If that were true, and we’ve been doing it a LONG time, well, er, wouldn’t catastrophe have hit yet?

That could be the most stupid statement i’ve ever read :)

“Them”. LOL! Those that remain un-named and unseen. Kinda like a science fiction movie. With no science.

Notice how the ONLY people concerned about overpopulation are WHITE? Why is that? A long time ago Richard Pryor, in his own crazy way quipped about this "Don't see too many White folks anymore! Whatchya do, y'all stop f***in'? Sure, some White dude said 'MY GOSH THERE'S TOO MANY PEOPLE!'"

Guess you missed the post I did with manbearpig earlier. LOL! I did read that we only have 3 years to “fix it” or we’re doomed. Or was it 3 weeks. Anyway, the erf will do what it damn well pleases despite some assclown trying to change that.

Exactly. Until they start “walking the talk,” they are not true believers, just pretentious, holier-than-thou, educated-but-stupid “useful” idiots.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

I’d have to see the data on that, but, how can I tell the data hasn’t been manipulated to back their argument?

I’ll see you and raise you these:

1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.

2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.

3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.

4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.

5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.

6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.

7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.

;-)

the world’s population can fit comfortably into the state of texas- the world is NOT overpopulated- There are sections where people cram into that make it appear that way but NO- the planet is NOT overpopulated- not even close-

We used to have some pretty big ones in the canal behind a house we rented in Cocoa Beach. They liked the fresh water hose.
